HDR seems to be working well on pc. I've tried 5 games (far cry 5, bf1, mass effect andromeda, resident evil 7 & hitman) and they all work just fine with hdr enabled.

I am sure also taking pictures wouldn’t do the screen justice since they would have to be shot in 12bit and 4K to really show the detail and then of course the screen viewing it would have to be able to displaying it with those settings.

Was able to get on the 2nd round of pre order from Newegg so got my X27 last Thursday. Finally got the hdr experience when I booted up far cry 5. Its something you really have to see in person. Whole new experience. You tube videos don’t do it justice. If you can beg borrow (hopefully not steal) to get one of these I highly recommend it. Game on!

I tried serious sam 3 on this monitor, its stunning as heck. Its a huge game changer on all games, even old ones.

Agreed. I am super happy with everything on it except the price, but it always hurt to be super early adopter.

Do yourself a favor and buy it, it literally is that good. Im sure you cant go wrong with the Asus or Acer, i believe they use the same panel.

I can see a difference in the pictures I know, even if they both go through the same camera and end up on the same display, the HDR version does look better.
that said, the price is beyond me at the moment. maybe by 2020 there'll be a good monitor I can upgrade to in my (and many other's) price range.
Til then I'll just want this monitor for a good while.

Just ordered two vesa certified HBR3 cables for my predator x27 as my current cable isn't cutting it. What do you mean it isn't cutting it? The refresh rate has gotten locked to 60 Hz from 120 Hz several times now. Only occurs when powering the monitor on after it's been off for several hours. Temp fixes that get everything back to working normally:#1 Open the monitor osd menu, navigate to the gaming menu, select apply & reboot option. #2 Unplug/replug the displayport cable from the video card. Old cable is spec'd at 21.6 Gbps. New cables are spec'd at 32.4 Gbps. What replacement cables did you buy? One & Two

I dont think these two pics will look any different for those of us without HDR compliant displays, although mine has 10-bit color depth.....
I can see the difference on my cell phone. Open the images in two different tabs and switch between them to see the difference.

The cable that comes with the monitor is even cheaper than the one I'm currently using as it isn't even listed in the vesa certified database. I couldn't even find any info on the cable by typing in the part # into google.
