I recently bought a EVGA 3080 12GB FTW3 Ultra and installed Precision. I noticed under the Re-Bar tab everything is checked in green, although Graphic VBIOS also has a yellow update next to the green check mark. So what is this and is it something I should do, also is there any risk to doing this update?

I've updated all my cards this way and not an issue, just make sure Fast Boot and CSM are disabled. As far as what it does, I don't know, but EVGA has a reason for it.

kram36 Before you update it, go into your motherboard bios and turn off Fast Boot and CSM. https://forums.evga.com/EVGA-GeForce-30-Series-HYBRIDXOCDefault-BIOS-Thread-m3407542.aspx
They are both off, but what does this update do? I got a green check mark with update next to it.Is there any possibility I can brick the card doing this.
Most of the new cards I've gotten from EVGA have an update when I install them. I've never had an issue doing the update. Not making you any promises but you should be okay.

I had all green checkmarks under the Re-Bar tab. On the VBIOS next to the green checkmark was a yellow button that said update. I tried hitting the button twice and nothing happened, is this because it is currently up to date? Edit: Well something did happen, it just asked me to continue with update, then nothing.

After reading this and thinking about how Precision works, I don't think there is a bios update for your card. Every time Precision starts up it checks for a bios update unless you disabled it in the settings. If you did not disable that feature, the first thing you would get is Precision telling you that the bios needs to be updated and if you don't update your bios, Precision will close and not start. So there is no bios update for your card currently.

You're right, I did have it disabled but I enabled it to start with Windows, it did start up and nothing about a bios update. Problem solved! It's confusing when you go to the re-bar tab and see update in yellow, it makes you think a update needs to be done.

I'm talking about checking for updates. See picture.

Normally it's safe to update a bios as long as you feel confident that the system will not lose power in the next ten minutes. Unless a severe weather event is happening in your area it's pretty safe.
