Not sure if this is a common problem already addressed but I just thought I'd mention that my 2080 Ti's power limit keeps reverting to 100% every time the application is restarted. Everything else loads fine but the Temp Tuner obviously scales down proportionately due to this, capping my max clock lower than it should be.

Other than that, love the program and looking forward to new iterations of it.

It's been an ongoing problem with Precision for a long time now that some (most) settings won't be saved unless Precision is closed after making and applying changes..That may be the problem..Close and open Precision again after making/applying changes and before turning off/restarting your PC and see if settings changes still remain..If the changes remain, it should be fine after that.

I found a solution to it, although it's not perfectly to my liking. So I had Power and Temp caps uncoupled and that seems to have been the issue. Having them both connected does the trick. It's fine since my card peaks at 70c and the max throttle is either my preferred standard 84 or the max 88. But I suppose this is good info to know for anyone else who might've set it up this way as well, and useful info to fix in a future update.

I have not had a problem with this latest version on Power and Temp Targets not sticking.
Fan control though is still very iffy on profiles.

I run my fans with the default auto curve and it works just fine. I gather you have issues with custom curves or manual speeds?

I found not using the Slider and just typing in the Number then pressing the Enter Key the Click the Apply Button then Click the Save Button worked for me.

Yeah that worked at least for the one restart I did today, any clue how to make this option stick https://puu.sh/Cuh0h/d40c13ff1c.png?
Looking for config files or something but no luck so far.

Did you also save a Profile?
I DO NOT have PX1 startup with the OS so after I see my Desktop I then start PX1.

At least when being opened on startup it's not saving any settings anymore.

Re: Precision X1 power limit not saved? 2019/02/16 15:28:18 (permalink)
None of the suggested fixes in this thread have worked for me. Whenever I restart X1 my power and temp limits are linked again and both are set to 130 and 88. I un-link them, set power to 100, leave temp limit at 88, hit apply, then save and finally quit out of X1. After restarting the application my power limit is back to 130, temp limit is still at 88, and the two are linked again.

On the other hand my fan settings do save, even though X1 does not properly display it. For some reason X1 will display my fans as being at 0% (stock GPU settings) after I restart the application, but by using HWINFO64 I can see that my fans are actually at 40% per my custom settings.

Select the setup button in upper right corner. Under General Tab make sure "Apply previous settings on load" is checked.

That option is checked, along with "Start with OS" and "Start minimized". Oddly, after toggling these options off and then back on, they are now no longer working at all. I currently have all three of those options checked and now X1 doesn't start with Windows anymore. I have tried reinstalling the program, but these issues persist.

Uninstall completely, DDU or any other software to clean out registry, etc.. Look through windows file for anything related to PX1 and delete. Then install an earlier version perhaps two or three back and work from there. Just a suggestion.

I've had this problem despite multiple version changes, windows installations, hardware changes, etc.  Best solution I've found so far is to completely uninstall the program.  Then I restart and install afterburner.  Everything seems to be working now.

Under NVIDIA's New Drivers with added Security you will need to Right Click on PX1 and Select Run as administrator to fix this.
Or Setup your Shortcut to Run as administrator.

I've been meaning to say something for a while but I when I apply my power target to 124% it keeps slipping back to 123%. Not sure if 1% is anything meaningful though...
