Will be installing this card soon but plan on running it stock clock speeds. Is there any advantage to installing and running this software if I do not plan on overclocking?  Not worried about LED control unless it will allow me to turn them off, which leads me to another question. If it does allow me to turn them off, can I remove the Precision X1 software or will the card default back to LEDs on ?

Question one: Fan control.
Question two: You can turn them off, and they should stay off even with x1 uninstalled.

Any custom fan control will be bound to the software correct ? So it will have to remain installed.

Appreciate the help. Got the card installed. I was testing fan settings with PX1 so I gamed for a few minutes. Returned to desktop afterwards and the Min Max on Fan shows 0 and 65, however I look at the graph and it appears the fans went well above 65. Am I confusing the min max with something else? Also already experienced a black screen while I was checking the graph. Having read all the failures stating they got a black screen and never recovered, I thought for sure the card had died but it came back up. You can see a spike in the GPU Clock speed, which is when the black screen happened. I was doing nothing at that time other than looking at the graph.

Odd. Looks like gpu 1 max fan speed was 61, but looks like it actually went to 83-85.

Yes the other fans did the same. It does not happen all the time though and its not a big deal, I just like being able to glance and see what the max is.
I wish these settings were save to card or written to a file that loaded with windows, rather than having to run the software.
