Was playing deus ex MD had a crash and now no matter what I do I can't get PX1 to open
I've uninstalled, deleted all associated files and ran sfc/scannow and it just won't open. Just goes directly to crash dump. Any ideas?

Even after a Reboot of the Computer?
Maybe Power Off until all the MB lights are off and unplug your Power Cable to your Monitor.

It persists no matter how long the system is off etc
Error report says it's a fault with kernelbase.dll
Dism, sfc, fully uninstalling nothing works. Worked fine until a random crash from a slightly too high oc on deus ex mankind divided.

For me, this issue happened once I restarted my pc. It might be related to my overclock, but I dont know.

Here is the error in event viewer: (Edit: This happens every time I attempt to start PX1)

I'm getting the same error, or at least the same faulting module but on my system it just keeps recurring. Even after uninstalling and deleting every file related to evga, restarting, running sfc and dism etc

Ended up fully reloading Windows, finally working again. If a mod wants to close/delete this thread that'd be fine

    Correct.
I used the windows built in reset, and the issue persisted. (I did select wipe data)
I'm now stuck with MSI afterburner, and I want my temps and fan control back

PX1 probably CAUSED the game crash - it was for me. As soon as I quit using it and not letting it load on startup, I’ve been really stable.

The new update did not fix the issue, it still crashes instantly, creating those same two error messages

Tech support said it was system file corruption not an error on their end, but if a clean install of windows didn't fix it for you then they may be wrong
Should open a ticket and get them all the log files so they can make sure it doesn't happen to others

it wasnt a clean install, it was a reset, so no super important files are replaced. I could reinstall again, but i really dont want to.
also if dism cant tell theres an issue with the file, its probably x1's fault.

I also just installed a fresh version of windows and downloaded all available updates. Installed PX1 and it just wont open. Appears in task manager briefly then disappears.

Mine doesnt even appear in task manager, it crashes too fast...
Im submitting a support ticket right now, id do that too, that way evga knows this issue is happening.

Clean install was the only thing that fixed it for me, I did sfc, dism and the install over that kept files and it didn't change anything. Did a full wipe install, bam issues gone. So it is likely a Windows issue, but seems to be caused by precision x1

    Hey guys,

Had a the same issue actually. What weirdly fixed it for me was to install into a different folder than any previous ones i.e the standard (Program files\EVGA\Precision) folder.
I hope this helps for you.

    Regards,
    SG
