I own a 1080ti FTW and use Precision X OC. I saw that Precision X1 is compatible with the 10 series, is it better to switch to it?

I will state that I have had about 4 EVGA cards over the past years and when PrecisionX OC came out I started using it and have mostly liked it since the past week. I began noticing that problems with my games were linked to the PrecisionX Server and/or PrecisionX Server(32bit) starting literally THOUSANDS of instances of themselves. I looked over solutions to the problem on many places and finally saw that renaming any of the Server .exe files might be a good solution. I have never enabled OSD and I really am not so hardcore that I want to know what my framerate and other things are while i'm playing a game. The PrecisionX Server problem finally became so bad that it started causing CTD of my Conan Exiles game, although I didn't know this was the cause at the time. The last time it happened once I was out of the game I noticed the computer still having strange issues and my browser window loosing control focus even while I was typing in it. I saw in Task Manager several thousand instances of PrecisionX Server running and it was bogging down my system so badly that even Task Manager was having problems running correctly. After reading about the issue and seeing that it was related to OSD usage I saw about renaming the Server .exe's and was going to do that but I saw that this new Precision X1 was in beta release. I have a GTX 1060 FTW version and since it says this is supported in X1 I have decided to try giving it a shot. So we will see.....
 
YMMV. If I have problems with X1 I will just go back to latest version of XOC and disable Server .exe files. I did notice however that in uninstalling XOC I somehow had several older XOC and X folders from YEARS ago. With profiles showing up in my main EVGA drivers folder. I have deleted all of that in preparation for installing X1 so that might have been how my original problem started with XOC. 
 
I am just posting this for anyone who has a similar issue and is wondering what to do. If X1 works for me for a custom fan profile and card power/GPU/Status information I may just stick with that. But at least for me I do have a solution for XOC if I do need to reinstall it and if I start having the same issues again. 

X1 is very buggy caused all sorts of game crashes with my 1080 running windows10 pro Went back to XOC no problem. But was fun to play with. Looking forward to the final release.hoping this weekend to try it with windows 7 

Seems this osdserver still causes grief with games. Has to be a wayt to zap that thing. COD MW is crashing a lot, and I 
found it was the server thingy doing it. I disables xserver osd, and game runs fine until reboot.
