Any updates on how this card can be purchased upon launch? Will there be a pre-order or auto-notify option? Essentially, how can I increase my chances of snagging an RTX 4070 upon launch?

Sorry if this has been asked before on these forums, but I'm absolutely clueless as to how this works. The last card I bought upon launch was the GTX 1070 back in 2016.

Thanks!

No one has any info at all at this time. You'll have to wait and see.

It's impossible to say what might happen with an unannounced product but in the past NVIDIA has not allowed 3rd parties to have pre-orders. As for a queue I kind of would expect one and as such I would be looking at queue 3.0 as to how that might work. Of course maybe we will see a new queue 4.0 for the 4000 series.

Please, no more queues, you couldn't supply the last even when you had stock. I'd still be waiting now...

I don’t work for EVGA. I am just a community member that helps out.

As for the queue system I understand people don’t like queues but it’s better than not having a queue system.

Don't worry nvidia will have pre-orders for the Founders Edition like always and they will be sold out instantly by bots.  And you will be able to pick one up off ebay for at least 3 times msrp as always.  Pretty much the norm since the 1000 series.

Now it's a matter of waiting until NVIDIA makes an official announcement.

Ikr makes it really hard to build a pc atm (currently building 3) waiting for the next big thing, but if the rumors are to believed should be worth the wait.  I mean I can get a 3080 for 620 or a 6900 for 700 right now or wait for the 4000 series.

That can be a difficult choice. Right now there is no info regarding the next gen GPUs from NVIDIA so no pricing info is available either.

I guess I'll just pick up something for now.  3080 it is, 620 isn't to bad, and should resell well due to it's novely.  I was looking into getting a 4080 or higher.

I am ready to retire the 2080 Ti I picked up just after its launch.

I am curious if I will have to wait deep into next year (or just how many months after launch) to pick up a Hydro Copper of the upcoming generation.

Don't hold your breath.  For whatever reason it doesn't seem like EVGA is putting much effort into their hydro copper lines.  They are never avail,  and it seems like the 3090ti hydro copper plan was scrapped altogether (?).

My assumption is that we will see EK water blocks for upcoming EVGA skus a lot sooner than we will see Hydro copper's, but I could be wrong.  Hopefully we will learn more in the coming weeks.

I would say have your money ready in October at least 3k sitting around to be safe.

Also expect a TI depending on what AMD does. Because the retail 4090's do have a downgraded power delivery design on their PCB's unlike the first batch of 4090 ES's that ran way hotter and consumed way more power.

I would really be happy for a preorder. I have a SFF PC and need a card with 2.5 slots max width. I'm willing to compromise on performance by limiting the TDP. So far for the 3000 series EVGA with its XC3 series was almost the only vendor with a fitting design...I hope they keep the XC3 series for the 4000 GPUs. Would really like to get an 4080 16 GB XC3.
