Power supply chirping

My PSU has recently started chirping on shutdown or some other repeating sound that is hard to describe. If I unplug the power cord or switch off the supply, it continues. If I unplug the HDMI cable from the 1060 nvidia card or shut off power to the monitor it immediately stops. It seems like it sounds like a fan slowing down at initial powerdown but then it continues for a very long time at about 2x per second. There is no sound when running. Any ideas what is going on?

    It will be best to open up a support ticket and providing a link to a recording of the noise uploaded to google drive, one drive, or any file storage service and make sure it is made public so we can better diagnose the issue.

    That is odd. I would take a video of the issue and do what WaiM suggested. Based off your description it may be the GPU, but it will be extremely difficult to tell without more information.

    If you can upload a video of this so all weird sound which would help. Hearing something strange from PSU would have made me shut down the PC, and not use it again until I figured out what's going on. I wouldn't want to risk all my build due to issue from PSU.

    Check your power consumption and report it.
