If it's a non-A chip, they are not allowed to overclock it and 112% is the max.

Just flash another vendors vbios to your card to get a higher limit. Just make sure the vbios you're flashing is from a reference pcb.

hey not so easy this time... The 1E04 of our chip and a-chips have 1E07 so device mismatch.. then someone thought they had it but nope... third steps says no flash took place... it would be great if someone could fix nvflash to avoid that ….

The modded nvflash can be downloaded here... https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2873965 Note: The password for the file can also be found in that thread. Not sure the modded nvflash will work with your card though as it's only for nvidia fe cards.

Don't think that the Black Edition ones can be flashed. Believe me I tried I have a very good Ti Black. It can easily do 2080-2100 but wont maintain due to p. throttling

Same here, I hit 2100 in spurts, but can't maintain it. I'm hoping a voltage boosting bios will appear eventually.

Hey guys I am right there with all of your power target on mine stays at 112% now sporatically it will draw more which I have no idea how because I cannot set past 112%. Although on water I have a stable overclock at 2085 mhz and +1000 on the memory.

Hi All, Has anyone been able to find anything to help increase the power of the Black Edition? I wouldn't have bought the card if I knew about the power limit before hand, as it just feels like NVidia is hamstringing the card for no good reason. I would have bought a 300A model if I had this information before hand. I'm considering a shunt mod using liquid metal. I know the gallium will eat away at the solder but the shunts on this card look slightly different than the old ones and it looks like you could do the mod without touching the solder. I know this is bothering me more than it should, but this feels a little underhanded and should have been made clear on the package that it's not the "same chip" as other higher end 2080 Ti's.

I bought this card 3 days ago now. was up all night until 5:30 am testing this card and pushing it to the limit. so far, i can do +290 core, and +1850 memory. for some reason, my power limit on the card seems to be 114%; not much more, but still more. in most tests, I can maintain 2060mhz core, but I did order a Kraken G12 and a thermaltake 360mm AIO for this card. a shunt mod might be a good idea, aside from the absolute loss of warranty. maybe if I get desperate. then again, I've been doing superposition benchmarks all night and getting some very impressive world leaderboard benchmarks. 720p low: position 72 @ 31479 points. 1080p medium: position 32 @ 27912 points. 1080p high: position 30 @ 21601 points. 1080p extreme is not that good: position 141 @ 9580 points. 4K optimized: position 102 @ 13076 points. 8K optimized: position 90 @ 5374 points. all tests were done with the DirectX API. CPU is i7-8700K @ 5.0ghz, RAM is Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4-2666mhz (OC'ed to 3733mhz and CL 17-19-19-39). I think that this card is very good for the money, even if overclocking is not great. the cooling is also not quite as terrible as people say.

Would be interesting to see how you overclock holds up. I'm running mine with the Kraken G12 and a 280mm rad. I'm hitting about 55 Degrees Celsius under load with a room temp of 28. I've have however needed to drop my overclock to 150 on the core as the card seems to peek randomly to 2100Mhz and is causing the games to crash.
I've also noticed the card will regularly hit power limit at stock clocks even with it set to 112% under water.
This card is seriously being limited by power constraints.

I have the card as well. Card doesn't reach 55c on full load. But the card also doesn't hit 2 GHz. If it does, it's just a quick 2050 MHz and it goes back down just as quickly as it went up. I do have the card under a hybrid cooler. Any help to unlock the power limit would be appreciated.

Use afterburner to overclock the card.
You can use px1 to set a static fan speed and then close it and then open AB.

Found I had seated the card poorly when I installed the water cooler, now the card hits a max of about 43c. I applied a shunt mod using liquid metal and managed to get a stable overclock of 2100Mhz with no dips. Doesn't sound like much but its about another 10% performance boost over the pre-shunt mod overclock. If there is no BIOS forth coming I may just solder some 8mohm shunts on to give me a permanent power boost.

Sajin Just flash another vendors vbios to your card to get a higher limit. Just make sure the vbios you're flashing is from a reference pcb.
so you can just flash a 11G-P4-2281-KR with any reference 2080ti bios? only EVGA ones? anyone know of one that works? if i can get the power limit to go up i won't STEP-it-UP.

Actually 2281 can't be flashed with another vendors vbios as the card uses a non-a chip.

For the 11G-P4-2281-KR/2080 Ti Black Edition (NonXC/Non'A'Chip)? If so, I would love to see us get a nice bios upgrade if possible, to stay within warranty.

Yes it works on NonXC/Non-A chips. Another user posted about it in r/overclocking a few days ago and it works for him. https://www.reddit.com/r/overclocking/comments/bcgw65/high_end_performance_from_the_cheapest_2080_ti/?sort=new

Can someone please check all the ports if they are still working after the flash? The reason why I am asking because I already flash 2 of my 11G-P4-2281-KR/2080 Ti Black Edition to Asus dual 2080 Ti, and lost signal from one of the displayport. Then I flashed back to the original EVGA bios and everything went back to normal. By the way can someone please tell me which one is the main displayport on the Black edition? Thanks

As far as i know the maxwell bios tweaker was the last one available, beginning with pascal and now turing i don't think you will find the bios tweakers anymore
