Microcenter in Kansas basically said this to me a week ago on how rare these 3080's will be. Sad but not unexpected.

Jacob did say the delay was a few days.

According to rumor Samsung yields for the NVIDIA GPUs are getting better. I have a feeling the first batch of cards will go quickly due to strong demand.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Would be amazing if we get to know the price at least so those who the FTW3 is out of their budget range can just go ahead and order the XC3 instead of missing out.

Shipping is probably the weak link here. It's been rough on all industries and delays from Asia to North America/Europe seem very common at this point.

I thought 3080 and 3090 are using Micron, not Samsung GDDR6X

    Main: 10700k @ 5.4ghz, 3090 K|NGP|N Hydrocopper, 4x8 @4300 16-16-16-36, EVGA 1200 P2, MSI Z490 Unify, 5 radiators, 2 pumps. Heavily modified Evolv ATX

    Travel size: Zen3 5800H, RTX 3060 Laptop GPU w/unlocked bios, 2x16 Kingston HyperX 3200 C20

They are not. Samsung is the one making the GPU chip itself AFAIK. Memory by Micron.

They really need to let us either place an order on the 17th and wait, or give us a date and time they will be able to be ordered.  Jacob's response on twitter to "set a notification" is a joke; by the time the notification goes out, the cards will almost certainly be out of stock.

Yeah, honestly, I've lost a lot of respect for all the companies involved with how little they care about their customers in all of this. Nvidia included.

But this is still, objectively, a fantastic card, and EVGA always makes the top line of the gaming hardware most of the time. So I'm heavily invested, just annoyed that I have to panic->F5 like I'm trying to buy Rammstein tickets, only to get beat out by script bots that will flip them on Ebay. Like Rammstein tickets.

Same, it really is just bad business.  Is it that hard to let us place an order and have it ship when they are available, or give us a date and time before you put them up for sale? I'm an EVGA fanboy but if one of their competitors allow us to do this, I will be jumping ship.

this Sony had to get bulk air shipping from Delta which likely charged nearly cost just to keep  some pilots in the air  for 60 747 loads of PS5's

Random question for those that are undoubtedly more knowledgable than i am, with the FTW3 being delayed due to 'x' reason, can anyone tell me the differences between the XC3 Ultra Gaming and the FTW3 Gaming? I tried to do a quick search and couldn't find anything, looking around i know there is a difference in size and looks, but is the FTW3 usually just a higher boost and better cooling? Thanks for any reply

I just bought a 2070 super 2 weeks back... would the step up program be there already on 9/17?

FTW usually offers better performance and cooling, best to wait if it's only a measly couple of days

Could you try saying that in English and possibly citing your sources? I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just... you know.

There is step-up for 30xx. We don't know when it will launch. We don't know which specific 30xx cards will be available. You have 90 days to initiate/start the process from purchase date. You have plenty of time.

Basically you don't have any worries. Just have to see how long you have to wait for one to be shipped to you once you get in the step-up queue :)

also, need to wait and see which cards are added into the step up program, for example, the FTW3 and Ultra might NOT be added into the program, so if you are wanting one of those cards, the step up program isn't going to help you there.

Here is the official page (text in Chinese only)
    tw evga com / EVGAGAMING / 2020 /

It is an activity conducted by EVGA Taiwan and only 60 limited quota of people. EVGA doesn't indicate how many quantities of FTW3 ultra and XC3 ultra actually but it would be likely more than 62 totally.
Each 1 of FTW3 ultra and XC3 for lottery, the rest 60(+?) will be sold in the scene.

I can read those traditional chinese. It's an event in Taiwan on 9/17. Limited to 60 participants owing to covid. Those 60 participants can buy 3080 there, starting at 9pm their time, i.e. 9am EST.

It's worth noting on this saying "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080全球開賣,將於9月17日21:00 (台北時間) 正式開始,請各位遵守活動現場相關規則。" --> It implies 3080 will be globally available at the same time in 9/17 9pm Taipei time i.e. 9am EST. Get ready pals!

Actually ridiculous that the 3080 FTW3 won't be for sale on launch day.

I get that the card is delayed, but WHY not just let us pre-order it on launch day and just wait a bit longer for shipping? It makes absolutely no sense.

Now we have to roll the dice and miss out on every other single card being sold, just for the chance at getting a FTW3, and we know all eyes will be on FTW3 then since it's going to be the only 3080 card that's delayed to a later date.

So not only do we have no other options available if we go for the FTW3, but there will be a much higher demand of people trying to get that card who are late for the launch.

    This just absolutely blows.

NVIDIA doesn't allow pre-orders I think...so it would be first come first serve unless you have some special methods to ensure you could snag one :/

This is different though, this is not preorder before launch day. I mean for us to be able to just "order" the ftw3 even though they arent ready yet and just get a delayed shipping.

It makes no sense why we should have to wait for days later to place the purchase.

Folks need to remember that the custom GPUs always came later from the reference SKUs.  I'm not at all surprised and would be shocked if they came earlier than usualy after launch.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:
