A report by Chinese tech publication MyDrivers suggests that the upcoming GeForce RTX 3000 series "Ampere" graphics cards could have a staggered market availability. Although the technology and product family is expected to be announced in September 17, 2020, the month could see the release of only the top-dog (read: low volume) parts, namely the flagship RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3080 (or the SKUs that succeed the RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 2080). The GeForce RTX 3070, or the SKU that succeeds the RTX 2070 Super, could launch a month later, in October 2020, according to the MyDrivers report. The higher-volume performance-segment part, the RTX 3060, or the SKU that succeeds the RTX 2060, could launch only by November, just in time for the Holiday shopping season. The report goes on to state that NVIDIA has discontinued production of the popular RTX 2070 Super, following its decision to stop RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 2080 Super production, allowing the retail channel to digest existing inventories of these parts. This is a rumor but it could be very close to the truth in my personal opinion.

I think the biggest problem is the first run of these graphics cards is going to sell out almost instantly and like with the 2000 series launch when they show up online they will sell out within a couple minutes until the end of the year. Anyone who is thinking it's going to be just a month until the launch should consider that it will take being highly lucky to just happen to be on a site when they launch otherwise it could be end of the year before they start to be in stock for any length of time.

Bring it on. Maybe EVGA will allow pre-orders (aka "take my money!") to elite members and limit to 1 per customer instead of these giant f-wads running around buying up all the stock and then reselling them at outrageous markup on Amazon & Newegg...

NVIDIA Ampere GPUs: 24GB, 20GB,16GB, 10GB and 8GB cards launching in September with more to follow, six boards planned as of right now - The crown jewel of NVIDIA's lineup is the PG132-10 board with 24GB of vRAM. It is going to be replacing the RTX 2080 Ti and is currently scheduled to launch in the second half of September.
- We then have the PG132-20 and PG132-30 boards, both of which are replacing the RTX 2080 SUPER graphics card and will have 20GB and 10GB worth of vRAM respectively. The PG132-20 board is going to be launching in the first half of October while the PG132-30 board is going to be launching in mid-September. It is worth adding here that these three parts are likely the SKU10, 20 and 30 we have been hearing about and the SKU20 is going to be targetted dead center at AMD's Big Navi offering (and hence the staggered launch schedule). Since AMD's Big Navi will *probably* have 16GB worth of vRAM, it also explains why NVIDIA wants to go with 20GB.
- The PG142-0 and PG142-10 are both going to be replacing the RTX 2070 SUPER and will feature 16GB and 8GB worth of vRAM respectively. While the PG142-10 has a known launch schedule in the second half of September, the PG142-0 board has no confirmed launch date yet.
- Finally, we have the PG190-10 board which is going to be replacing the RTX 2060 SUPER graphics card and will have 8GB of vRAM as well. The launch schedule for this board has not been decided yet either.
