Portal Reloaded adds a new dimension to Portal 2 - Available Now on Steam | OC3D News (overclock3d.net) Portal 2 is now ten years old; and the game's active modding community has continued to keep the game alive with new content, creating new test chambers, story content and adding new mechanics to the popular puzzler. To celebrate Portal 2's 10th anniversary, Portal Reloaded has been released on Steam for free to all owners of Portal 2. The game is easy to access, install and play, making it a great way to celebrate Portal 2's 10th anniversary. Portal Reloaded is the latest Portal 2 mod to take the community spotlight, altering the base game by adding a 3-way Portal gun into the mix. The game's standard Orange/Blue portals will function as normal but Reloaded's third green Portal adds a new dimension into the equation by enabling travel between two timelines. A green portal? Two timelines? While this may sound confusing, this addition will allow players to travel across the span of 20 years between two inter-connected timelines, allowing Portal Reloaded players to solve each of the mod's custom test chambers in new and unique ways. This mod will be voice acted and will feature its own storyline, with players assuming the role of test subject 4-5-0-9. Portal Reloaded contains 25 mind-bending puzzles, new gameplay mechanics, new music, voice acting and more. This may not be Portal 3, but it is the next best thing. PC gamers can download Portal Reloaded on Steam. Looks like a terrific offering from Steam.

Portal 2 is ten years old....wow. I have Portal Stories: Mel in my playlist that I was hoping to play soon, this makes 2 portal games, on PC, that are free and supposed to be really good, both get described as Portal 3...it's a good time to be a pc gamer....except for the getting the hardware part.

Fan made puzzles tend to be stupid hard. Will check it out, but hope they are more balanced like the actual games.

That's kind of the point when doing these. People already finished the game and are looking for a new challenge.
But yeah making them stupid hard can ruin it a bit.

I played both portals on my Xbox 360 and got them again on Steam. Glad I did that cause now I get to enjoy some new content.

Agreed, the physics logic of the first couple portals I think was more intuitive to me, this one is throwing me for a loop.

Portal 2 was one of the few games that my wife really enjoyed playing together. It was non-competitive, it had problem solving, it required teamwork, and it had minimal time commitment. I continue to wish they would come out with a future installment, but I suppose a free fan “expansion” is the next best thing.
