Amazon seems unwilling to put in any sort of effort to stop bots. At least EVGA is trying something.

It is incredible how you want to do things well, but fail in the attempt. Their store sucks and they should accept it. There is no way to pass the checkout since it always crash.

I feel there is no respect for those who are loyal to EVGA and they tend to be treated like this and not invest in a better way or create the preorder.

If you send everything to Amazon believe me that many will be happy and will not have problems with their servers.

Finally tell us when the cards will be available there.

Let them send their stock to memoryexpress, it will make me very happy.

I understand the less-than-perfect store and the site crashing but...I disagree.

This current issue of supply/demand will pass, how much are you willing give up to have your non-essential (for most) equipment today?

Thoughts:
a) Amazon customer service is actually terrible if you've ever had a slightly complicated issue.  Amazon CS is is only competent at basic transactional issues.  Should I trust Amazon dealing with $700+ computer equipment in very high demand? -- I'd rather not.
-- I've gotten fakes from Amazon, I've had boxes where the item shipped was not even close to what I've ordered, I've had items where the product box was correct (and shrink wrapped!) but with a brick inside...all with Amazon being the official seller.
b) IRT online retail, look at how Newegg handled did their bulk shipments, brand new broken RTX 3080s freely floating in a box and I've had the same with Amazon with hard drives.

EVGA however has notoriously great CS.  It's pretty much common knowledge in the gaming community. (EVGA is a company rocking stateside CS!  Expensive too, why ask them to take a loss when there are other solutions).  If Amazon starts taking on more of EVGAs customer support/retail manpower, the incentive and justification to keep stateside CS will decrease.

And besides, your odds of getting a unit before the bots will likely not be any different on Amazon either.

My recommendation is to encourage EVGA to improve their store and server resilience.

TBH I'd rather buy from Evga Directly. Amazon is like a lottery and Newegg is even worse with their dumb anti-bot setup that flags end users hitting f5 and lets bots purchase anyway.

Feels like I'm less than human with all the f5ing. Newegg called me a bot lol - apparently it was some kind of error though. Hopefully supply catches up soon.

I'd just make sure to check the Prime box.  At least then you know its fulfilled by amazon, so it is coming out of an amazon warehouse.

I saw that article about Newegg's shipping. It's rather disturbing that they'd stoop to sending OEM cards with basically no protection from shipping damage. Can you imagine getting a brand new card after trying for ages to get one through checkout, only to have it arrive damaged?

I have yet to see Amazon have stock on anything except for when a scalper puts one up for a minimum 100% markup, so it's the website I check the least.

Honestly, I’d rather go somewhere in person and pick a card up. Limiting that to one card per person would be simple
