Hey everyone!
 
You might recognize me from my previous builds -- LiquidKhaos (link in signature). My wife has been talking about how she would like to have a computer to do her work (works from home) and be able to play the Sims 3. Unfortunately, I let her play Sims 3 on my monster which is basically like being "IN THE GAME" in regards to graphics. When she told me it would be nice to have her own rig so we don't compete for mine; that meant building a gaming station that would live up to my "expectations." I've been wanting to build a mini-ITX workstation for awhile now and I finally got the opportunity!
 
I am awaiting the arrival of the motherboard and lastly the Parvum case from UK. I was going to wait until Z270 Stinger was available, however looking over the details, it wasn't worth the wait for what I need this machine to do. I chose to pass and stick with the Z170 Stinger. Wife doesn't really have a name for her computer; so I called it "Pinkie". She wanted a rig that was black and hot pink; I plan to put in some pink LED strips and ordered some black/pink PSU extension cables from Ensourced.

Lucky you, you get "permission" to build.  :)  Nice collection of pieces so far. I bet it will be quite nice when finished.

Motherboard showed up Friday and today I had opportunity to sit down and set it up. I'm still waiting on Parvum to ship the case, so for now it's pretty much setup on the bookshelf in a half-techie kind of way. I never realized how nice motherboard boxes make for platforms. Just throw some motherboard pins on them and set it on top of the box. I'm installing Windows 10 right now and getting it prepared for her. I'd like to get it burned in and tested--once the case arrives I will transplant it and replace the H100i TEM with some IC Diamond 24. It's my first build without a normal WC setup; hoping this Corsair H100 will do good for what she needs.
 
Interesting note; I've never had GPU's on air -- I find it so funny how this fan on GPU completely stops LOL.
 

 

I finally received the Parvum VEER ITX case -- wife is very excited about it!
 
We'll be transferring the computer into it tomorrow and setting it up in it's final spot.
 
So far the new gaming rig has been great; she's super happy about it.
 

 

 

 

 

I got everything put in yesterday and it's pretty neat.
 
Parvum case was a little awkward to get together--there were no instructions, but videos on Youtube to figure it out.
 
Overall, I like the case--I put a single pink LED strip in and found we needed another one--it shows through frosted pink and lights up only half the face of case LOL.
