when playing bad company 2 I use to get 200 fps with my old GTX 1080 but here is the kicker I get the same fps with a GTX 970 founders edition and when I play call of duty black ops 4 my fps only drops by 5  quite frankly I don't even notice the difference in performance  that's what puzzles me is how can a card that cost $150 right now performs just like a  $500 card  I would like to hear from you guys...

Sounds like bad company 2 just isn't stressful, so both cards are able to achieve 200 fps with ease.

Sounds like you need to play some games that are more demanding on the performance.

BFBC2 is an old game, from 2010... it isn’t meant to be super stressful on a PC anymore. 200 is probably the Max FPS. Try unlocking the FPS through the console command to see full scale without limits.

Black Ops 4 doesn’t look like it would need much more than a basic computer to run, so you are probably at max FPS limited by the game. The “recommended” GPU is a 970, and the minimum is a 660, which is pretty low on the totem for when the game released. Sounds like the game is relatively well optimized.

You didn’t seem to mention anything else other than the two gou’s And the two games. Maybe throw in a resolution that you are playing at, or some other PC components that could be limiting you.

100% agreed. One thing you could do also to , is enable Nvidia DSR in the Nvidia control panel, which will allow you to render your games at 2k, or 4K resolutions, which will help separate the performance of a 970 and 1080. Like others said though, you really need to try out some new games that push your hardware a little harder. I still have a few 970's laying about, and there is several games that really start to show how the GTX 970 is finally starting to age, and in no way even come close to GTX 1080 performance(unless using 2x 970's in SLI)

I tried BC2 on a 8600 GT, that game was unplayable. When I got a GTX 260 the game worked a lot better.

On the GTX 660 Ti the game can be cranked up and it is still 60 fps solid

Have not played it on my GTX 750 or my GTX 1060 yet
