Hey everyone, The next project of the month is SRBase and runs from June 26 to 30th (last week of the month). SRBase is a mathematical research project that uses Internet-connected computers trying to solve Sierpinski / Riesel Bases up to 1030. I'm starting this thread now since there's some setup required beforehand. The project website is: http://srbase.my-firewall.org/sr5/Be aware that BOINC Manager has a different URL listed when you add a project from the default list, so make sure you're using the correct one. Also, I don't use Boinstats BAM! but have heard it works correctly. The project also requires a code when creating a new account. Currently, the invitation code for creating new accounts is pillepalle. If there's any other helpful info about the project, let me know and I can update this post.

I have been running this for a long time - Do I need to go in and use "pillepalle"? I use BAM and it runs like a champ under EVGAs crunch team. I do know you want to run all subprojects as some get very few WUs robby PS -Nice pick for a POTM

Nope. Iinvitation code is only needed when creating a new account, probably to stop spammers.

No not good. I have very few Riesel Base left in my cache so they may be running out soon. If we squeeze say another 6K out of this project we will pick up a couple fb points.

It's be ironic if we run them dry with the potm and they get chosen for a sprint and no one else can get any work.

Sierpinski / Riesel Base - short Still has 435,090 Tasks to give out and Riesel Base has 104. This will be a good POTM. The Sprint come second to the POTM and is they do pick Projects that have tasks but then as like the last sprint the project ran out of tasks. POTM is to help move a Team Member up the ranks and Move the Team. You could call POTM an EVGA Sprint as well.

Just noticed on SRBase front page they recommend hyperthreading be turned off. I'm seeing similar total throughput with HT on and off for the "Sierpinski / Riesel Base - short" tasks, and lower temps with it off.

Hardware requirements - non AVX AMD/Intel CPU 2.3Gh+
- Recommended: AVX,AVX2/FMA3 compatible AMD/Intel CPU 2.3Ghz+,
I missed this a well, who is the Lead for this month's POTM Well I do see my X99 Running Hot. I have HT On on all my Rigs ATM. On my X99 I dropped from 4300 to 4100 and temps are down enough for me. The rest of my Rigs and even Servers are showing good Temps as the same as running any Projects other than LLR from PG that is. Turned off HT on my Server and it is still running at 80C so no change in Temps, time down only a few seconds.
