Hi! So I got a evga gtx 1080 ftw hybrid. And ive been tinkering with the precision oc tool for some time now and found my best overclock is, Power target 90% full utilization of voltage +70mhz core so far. I get a score of 2224 in superposition benchmark @1440p everything maxed. My boost clock is 2050 and temp is 50 when I use this same overclock but puts the power limit to 100% or higher the card gets unstable and/or my bench score is lower. I thought the power limit was better to have higher? Some one who knows if this is normal? Best regards Daniel

Having a higher power target allows more voltage to be used, which might make the core clock speed too high and unstable. If you put the power target back 100% and everything at default, does it crash then? How how high can you get the core offset whilst having the power target at 100%?

So everything at stock is okay. When I try to tweak higher then I get crashes in some games. With stock settings I get 2163 in superposition benchmark @ 1440p everything maxed. If I put my power target @ 90% voltage @ full and gpu offset +70 and mem @ +550 I get 2396 same benchmark same settings and higher fps in games plus more stable framerate.

Hi, My 108Ti is not a great overclocker, I was able to set an offset of +35 on the GPU, what I have discovered is that regardless of the settings I make on PXOC the average GPU speed would settle just under 2000, I would get occasional crashes and they all seem to happen when the card hits somewhere over 2012. I was able to get a higher average GPU speed with the offset at 0 then with it at +35. One thing you may want to try is to keep the power and temp set at %100 and drop the offset slightly, this could give you a better average OC and a better score.

Thanks for all input and advices. I feel pretty certain this is my absolute sweet spot. Me and my friend have made tests all day with different increments up and down and we feel pleased with this setting. We also did a second run on the "sweet spot" and the score is consistent. When we try to adjust something we get worse score, lower fps in games and an overall jumpy clock on the core. *thumbs up*

Thanks for fixing the links! 😁 So I have never benchmarked with firestrike before but I take it the scores are ok then? ☺

18598 = Better than 96% of all results http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/21330736 For a first run - no tweaks ---> Excellent score Did you stop all background programs ? CPU could do more - with a better OC maybe ? You can spend days or more trying to get a better score: tweak-test .... repeat

No I had all my background programs active. Ill tweak some more tomorrow and test again. Ill try with no background programs. 🙂 unfortunatöy my cpu caps at 4600 caus i cant get it stable at 4,7 even at 1.45v 😯 so I have ot at 1.34 at 4600 instead. 😋
