The 1080 Ti's only advantage is its memory OC out of the box versus the Titan XP. You can match this by simply adding +500MHz to your Titan XP memory clock. The benefit of OCing the memory is very limited versus OCing the core clock. I have yet to see any 1080 Ti's breaking 2100MHz aside from one under LN2, which is something a lot of Titan XPs are capable of. Obviously, I would not recommend a Titan XP for a minor performance improvement since the 1080 Ti is a much better deal.
