AND I SNAGGED ONE! So many problems. So many times trying to pay only to have EVGA's webstore poop out. Paypal, a CC, didn't matter. Had to leave for work 30 minutes after the launch, and continued the process (it was still in my cart the whole time, quantity 1) while on my phone. But I got one! A 3090 FTW3 Ultra - for the low cost of two kidneys and permanent dialysis. (Thank you @Sajin for the discount affiliates code!)

The order actually went through at 0810 MST (0710 Pacific). At a guess to when I was able to put my CC/PayPal info in (the first time) probably about 0715 MST (0615 Pacific).

I'm at work using my phone, or I'd break out screencaps. If folks are that interested, I can throw up a MS paint edited copy of the email invoice tonight.

You know, tucking cords also helps performance correct? Better air flow means cooler card and in turn higher clock.

No it doesn't, and Gamer's Nexus proved it by stuffing SO MUCH STUFF into a case. And I run an Enermax Fulmo GT case - there is SO much airflow it's not even funny.

Thanks! Especially since the 1080 Tis were under AiO watercoolers and I've yet to do the same with the 3090.

I know LTT did a video on this, I didn't know there was a GN video on the same topic. But yeah, stuffing the case full of stuff like t-shirts didn't have much of an effect on the temps of the components in the case. Still though... That cable management and thick layer of dust is like nails-on-a-chalkboard for me But big congrats on the snag of a 3090. I snagged one too and it should be here in a few hours.

Looks like +135 on the core and +750 on the memory is about all this thing can do under air. Seeing mid 1950MHz in Port Royal with fans at 85% and temps topping at about 62C. Superposition medium 1080P setting about 2085MHz and 58C at 100% fan speed with a 30491 score (22nd place). GPU usage was 75 to 97%, mostly mid 80s. Superposition high 1080P setting I got 27286 and #2! Superposition extreme 1080P setting I got 13405 and #4! Superposition optimized 4K setting I got 17983 and #2! Superposition optimized 8K setting I got 7979 and #2! (Only 6700MB of VRAM used) Ok, time to try and put this under an AiO water cooler.

Some pretty decent results there, thanks for reporting them. I can't wait to get mine today and putting it through some torture tests to see how it stacks up. :D

Found out that the Kraken G10 and G12 brackets WILL NOT work with the 3090. I assume the hole pattern will be the same for the 3080.
2 holes line up, but the other two are too wide. Stripped pix inc.

The thermal paste was very professionally done - a nice, even coating (I wiped it off of the HSF, but left it on the GPU die):
