https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2018/04/video-game-industry-joins-lawsuit-against-fcc-to-preserve-net-neutrality/ The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) as gone to court to fight against the FCC's plan at averting net neutrality. The ESA is an association that represents companies such as Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, Bethesda, Capcom, Disney, EA, Epic Games, Konami, Magic Leap, Nvidia, Ubisoft, Square Enix, and Warner Bros. I'm glad to see such companies fighting for the rights of consumers. It would be a sad day indeed if companies had the right to throttle bandwidth to you while you are playing an online game.

There is a distinction that needs to be made. they are not fighting for the rights of customers. they're fighting for their own self-interest. There is a marked difference there.

I was going to say that. They "fight" for the costumer, because they will lose money if they don't oppose it.

Considering COX hit me for $50 in data overages in the last month for using my connection like I normally do, I'm not surprised about anything anymore related to FCC's wolf in the hen house tactics.

Really we need net nutrality for gaming since the stream of data for online gaming is going to mean ISP will start charging places like EA and Activison to speed up service or they will throttle it down if they don’t pay. It’s not fair and the added costs will be passed onto the gamers. We saw them throttle back Netflix and Netflix paid then passed the increase onto subscribers when Net Neutrality passed those fees didn’t get removed.

The ESA ever doing anything for the benefit of consumers..... Contrary to popular belief gaming was doing fine prior to 2 years ago when big government overreach decided they need to "save" the internet and not shockingly nothing negative happen when it was reversed.

THe only way you can fight that is quit using them and go with their competition. Get your friends to drop them as well.

Just be sure to add on the EA gaming package when the ISP decides to revamp it's pricing policy now that it will be allowed to.

neutrality is essential for all players on the internet, the net is a public utility so it should be like water pay more for more water is fine, as long as everyone has a faucet that works
Corsair Obsidian 750D Airflow Edition with the Corsair AX1600iWindows 11 on my ThinkVision 31.5 inch P32p-20 Monitor looks good.

Personally after repealing net neutrality I started using proxy at https://buy.fineproxy.org/eng/exclusive.html and everything works fine. It has the highest possible speed so I can play my fav games without any connection issues. Besides now I have access to the blocked content. Very convy
