Hello everyone, I had a quick question regarding the new queue system. On my EVGA account, I am on the notify list for multiple graphics cards since last April. I was wondering, will I need to cancel all those notifies to get into the queue for upcoming graphics cards? Queue system 3.0 requires us to sign up for 2 VGA queues at a time.

You may not have more than two "active" registrations across both Queue 2.0 and Queue 3.0 in total. So, by way of example, if you have one 2.0 queue registration (say for a 3080 Ti), you can have as a maximum one 3.0 registration (say for the upcoming 3090 Ti). If you cancel the 3080 Ti registration in this example, you could have up to two 3.0 registrations, but in either case no more than one 3.0 queue registration for any chipset (so one total of the 3090 Tis, one total for the 3050s, etc...).

Am still confused. Let say I have 15 notifies (for 30-series cards) in queue ranging from 3060 XC's all the way up to 3090's. So does that mean to get in the queue for the new 3080 12GB, does that mean I will need to remove 14 of those notifies?

Only two notifies can be active. If you have more than two, then the two OLDest notifies are active. You definitely need to trim down.

Yes, but in actuality, you would only have your two oldest queues active in your notifies. EVGA in October for Queue 2.0 had everyone remove all but two. Ergo, to use Queue 3.0, you will have to remove one. You can only have a total of two total.

Based on the QUEUE3 FAQ: I STILL HAVE ACTIVE NOTIFICATIONS FROM YOUR QUEUE 2.0 CHANGES. WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM?Products in queue prior to 2022 will still be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. They are not part of the Queue 3.0 ruleset. You may purchase a product from either or both of your notifications signed up from Queue 2.0 or earlier. If you remove one or both of your active notifications, your next notify will be subject to the Queue 3.0 rules. Please note that it is highly recommended to remove all inactive VGA notifications from your account before removing active notifications. Notifications that have been removed by user or are currently marked inactive cannot be made active again. Old pre-2022 queues are exempt from the rules so owning a EVGA webstore purchased 30 series card or low score will not de-prioritize you from the purchase. It is purely timestamp and inventory availability. But, it may exempt you from signing up for new SKUs if you have the max 2 notifies. Generally, I think it is a good step to be more fair, but I'm confused because the value of registered EVGA products helps with your score, yet owning 30 Series cards depriorizes your position. The top 300 highest scores exempt you from the ruleset for future launches, but for how long? In perpetuity? What is the rubric or scoring values for products, bucks, ribbons, and forum participation? When the 3090ti KP is released, only time will tell how Elite members will upgrade to this new card without being de-prioritized. Ideally, someone with high-end cards, no 30-Series cards, top contributor with ribbons and bucks should have the highest score and exempt from the ruleset for all future launches?

According to https://www.evga.com/support/queue3/: "*To celebrate EVGA Queue 3.0, the users with the 300 highest EVGA Scores will be exempt from this requirement for select future launches, beginning with the GeForce RTX 3080 12GB. These users may sign up for a notification and proceed without being deprioritized for a previous 30 Series purchase from EVGA.com. This offer is only good for one product/notification queue, and once the product is purchased it may not be used again." So it seems like this is a one shot deal on "select" launches as chosen by EVGA. As for the weight of the three aspects in scoring, I haven't a clue. The top 300 may change as the scores will be reset at the beginning of each month.

Thanks for the response. It's not a perfect system and we'll need to see how it turns out. Maybe there will be a QUEUE4?

Anyone else try to register some of their older cards say like etn2s to make sure their score is as good as possible? I've got a couple of those and others on the shelf unregistered.

Not sure if it will matter if you have a registered EVGA 30 Series card purchased from the webstore. When weighted against others without 30 Series cards, is a non-card holder higher priority than a high score loyal customer? Need to know the metrics weighting to understand the score calculations.

I really wish they would have just kept the queue 2.0 as is, and then just start fresh with the 3.0. I've seen so many people confused and trying to figure things out. More or less I have just been saying 2 notifies max is the tl;dr.

A registered timestamp mechanism will overwhelm all but the most expensive hosting service. End-user location/ISP will become a disadvantage just like stock trading issues. I think this is a good step to address EVGA's situation since new launches will continue to crash the servers. Doesn't make sense for EVGA to invest in upgrading their hosting when customer direct sales should not eat up a lot of your resources. It would be interesting to see the percentage of sales from the webstore, retail, system integrators, etc. It doesn't help when everyone has supply issues. I will continue to be a customer based on their responsive actions and support.

I just deleted two active notifies, but they still say "Active: true" , "Notify Sent: Deleted by user". Do I need to do anything to remove all active notifies in order to sign up for queue 3.0?

No, sometimes the system takes some time to catch up. If they are still there a little later, contact webmaster@evga.com and explain what happened and they, hopefully, can fix it.

Why doesn't EVGA simply program the queue system to not accept more than two. If you attempt to add a GPU that exceeds your limit, response should say "Too many in queue at this time, you will need to delete one to add this new one"? Can't be that hard and seems it would alleviate much confusion and posting here of complaints.

New queue system seems interesting, though I also wonder how hard it'll be for newer members to climb up the ranks, there's got to be some members with incredibly high scores, I'm also wondering how the rank system works too, like is is the top x% of people's score get in the top rank, then lower ranks, all based on percent, or if there's some hard number assigned. I'd assume percent as that could change over time.
