Scalpers purposely steal at MSRP of high demand items just to be greedy, most rely on that as a living which is pretty depressing, especially cause their are people who buy at scalping price, it's so stupid and makes me never understand why people do this.

What you don't get?
People getting into scalping and buying at MSRP price just to sell? Cause they find it easy to turn it into profit, get it cheap, sale it higher. A lot of this happens and always happened. But now with the new series and chip shortages, they live into it. I mean the profit margins are way higher, and they get more money. More get into it, and the ones who already do, cheat to buy even more, as they get money from previous sales.
 
The people buying it?
Well with the COVID and staying at home thing, people wanted to have a way to get off, and if some of those wanted to play games, more recent games that got advertised, they wanted a beefy GPU. No outside activities, for those who managed to secure their work, meant more disposable income. Also there are a lot of people who don't know the true price of items, like the MSRP ones, they see that GPU on the market for that price and think that it is the price for it. The others who know, they just want a card and they want it now. So they just get it.
