When cards sell out before you can see the "Add to Cart" button, its not the demand, its bots..

Is passing some kind of anti-bot law a viable solution? Like not banning bots, but rather creating a standard for anti-bot measures that are required to be implemented for online storefronts? Of course, people will probably find out how to bypass those measures too... This is rough.

Worst part is that in 6-12 months we'll still be scrambling to buy a used 3080/TI/3070 for insane prices and it'll be some card that's been mining 24/7 alongside a dozen other GPUs and maybe 30% of its useful lifetime left in it..

What's the best way to combat bot use? Is there anyone who is doing it right?
You can't combat bots. Unless the retailer does some restrictions for something like that. What people can do is to stop buying cards from scalpers like these at the thread top.

Amazon definitely has the resources and ability to stop bots from buying them. They REFUSE to do so because they don't care- profit is profit for them.
