Just about to go to bed... I haven't had Folder running FAH for about 3 days. It all started with an update. Then the computer startup troubleshooter screen said it didn't start properly and I had choices. Tried a reset keeping my files..that worked till I had to do a reboot of something I had to reistall. Endless loop of troubleshooter screen. Couldn't do a reset keeping or discarding??? Fresh windows 10 install. Accessing the computer via remote desktop required the box unchecked for..Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication....THIS IS WEIRD...none of my other computers require it unchecked... And do you think Windows will install the right drivers for the Nvidia 2060's Neither will Nvidia... 1903 feature update of Windows 10 failed... Being a set and forget guy I obviously don't remember having this much grief getting it to run the first time.. Help! PS..I remembered the first time I set this computer up with Windows 10 it was cpu only...Running FAH...hmmm

Reinstall the Nvidia driver. That should fix it. Do you use DDU? If you disable Windows Driver Update, feature Windows updates (1903, 1909, 2004) can't install the basic Nvidia drivers. A full reinstall of the Nvidia drivers is always needed for feature updates.

Funny thing Original install of Windows 10 recognized the 2060's when I installed them in Folder when I first got the gpu's. (Fresh motherboard fresh cpu fresh Windows 10...easy as pie) I ran FAH for along time with the Windows drivers. I may have used DDU when first started installing Nvidia. Like I said I didn't install Nvidia till much later, looking for better ppd production. Complete Windows 10 install this time is a mess... When I attempted to install Nvidia drivers, on this reinstall, it errored that my version required the standard drivers. Tried the standard and another error it couldn't install Have to look into DDU Thanks

If you've moved to Version 2004 of Windows 10, install the latest Nvidia driver. Then enable the GPU memory offload. Certain versions of Windows do require newer drivers, especially feature updates (updates to the WDDM subsystem).
My 2080 got a few WU with the new driver and Windows 20 version 2004 that granted 300k+ per unit.

This is in the device status box in properties/General tab ..in Device manager of the Microsoft basic display adapter Normally Windows would of changed it to Nvidia 2060 adapter. Can't install Nvidia drivers because it says it isn't for this version of windows.. ...totally lost... This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)
The driver trying to start is not the same as the driver for the POSTed display adapter.

My work around for this problem is to uninstall the drivers with ddu in safe mode, there is a setting in ddu that needs to be checked to not let windows update the drivers. Then i do the uninstall option where it is uninstall but do not restart, then when uninstall is finished reinstall the current drivers you have downloaded to use. That has worked for me every time. Make sure you have the correct drivers downloaded though.

Yeah when you uninstall the Nvidia drivers with ddu each GPU should show Microsoft basic display adapter. Then you install your Nvidia drivers without doing a reboot. You saying after installing the Nvidia drivers it's still showing basic display adapter?

Yes...and I'm saying it wouldn't let me install any Nvidia Drivers. It says they aren't for this version of Windows or not standard. I will be trying the latest version of Windows from June 2020. I tried a few different Nvidia, standard, game ready, studio... old & current all separately after running ddu each time. Windows normally will identify the correct driver and Nvidia install not required. Fah slot gpu knows it is a rtx 2060 and sits ready but it wont run. Reinstall of latest windpws 10 hopefully will fix it.
