I was going to suggest uploading the invoice anyway and see if it helps, but if you have a button to click to add extended warranty then it sounds like a problem with EVGA. You're in the US yes? I'm assuming it's not B stock. Next stop - submit a ticket.

Sometimes it’s the browser and or their system. It took a couple of tries for me. Make sure you’re checking off the button, again, it took a couple of tries.

What are you running to generate those temps just out of curiosity? Games, benchmark?

 
Mining ETH which is very memory intensive.  It is running in the background anytime I'm not gaming.  It does not interfere with regular work like web browsing, email, etc.  Right now I'm earning just under $10/day, so that adds up over the long run.


If you don't mind me asking, what are your settings for mem/clock/power when mining in the background for your Kingpin 3090?

I made it all fit. lol  And yes both sides close normally & do not touch the sideways 280mm radiator.
 
I dunno if anyone else noticed, but the stock radiator fans are actually straight trash.  Gaps between the fan blades are huge which means their static pressure is very likely utter garbage.  Swapped to EK Vardars while doing this rearrange, gonna be gaming shortly, we'll see how the temps are...

Wow that's a HUMONGOUS case! And I thought the Lian-Li O-11 was big. Which case is that?
 
Keep us posted on the difference in temps after the fan swap. I'm planning to swap the stock Kingin fans with the Lian-Li SL120

I swapped the stock fans to the LL SL120 and the temps are great. Everyone changes out fans to match their case or to whatever they like. Makes sense for EVGA to not even bother dumping money into fans that they know are going to be removed. Especially when it comes to a gpu that most are going to add a water block.

Very nice! I've been wondering about the stock Kingpin fans but couldn't seem to find a model number anywhere to lookup the CFM and static pressure ratings. I'm was thinking about running a push-pull configuration with the stock fans to push and Corsair QL120s to pull. I might start looking into different fans to push.

Thermaltake View 91 - and yes it is gigantic (and expensive).  With all the glass on (my front panel glass sheered off in shipping, which was actually nice as I was planning on removing it anyway to unrestrict the front airflow) it weighs about 70lbs, she's a bit of a heffer.  
I typically only buy a new case once in a blue moon, so like when I buy PSUs, I tend to go all out/go for the one I really like the looks/long term viability of.  This thing has a massive amount of liquid cooling support (it can actually fit a radiator in the front area there, I just took the brackets out that would hold it).
Example of someone else's tricked out LC setup in it:

 
Right now I'm doing OC testing going for personal records so temps are kinda out the window... but in the run I just finished, at +150 core, it only got up to 50C in Port Royal - so the fans are definitely helping, previously with the stock fans I was seeing 54-55C at these settings.

From what I'm seeing that score is actually straight garbage for those speeds... got it a little higher with stuff in the background closed that day, trying again today, so far no luck, trying some different driver to see what's what:

Any of you guys putting heatsinks on the backplate check the tjunc temp now shown in HWINFO?

The HSF I posted previously gets me from 104C to 92C while mining ETH.

Just curious if any of the other solutions you guys showed helps more.

I am now 5th in da Wurld for 9900K/single 3090 score & 88th in da wurld for single 3090 overall, not bad for a system that's ran like it was for benching pretty much all the time, just with higher clocks on the GPU, and no sub-ambient/really cold weather cooling:
 


 
I am soooooooo tempted to get a NVLink bridge from eVGA & run the 3090 FTW3 Hybrid in SLi just to see what I can push, but I'm afraid my PSU would get angry having 2 of those beasts hooked up at once lol
I'd be held back by the regular 3090 FTW3 Hybrid only topping out at ~2070-2115MHz though.  Still, would be cool to do once or twice.  I might do it, but investing $90 in to a bridge I'm only going to use for a day or two ish meh.

All you have to do is switch the Results Screen for "Score Explorer" to "Leaderboard", let me see if I can link it...

15410: https://www.3dmark.com/pr/826721 these settings can do multiple runs with no crashes, +150/+1250 with no Classified Tool modifications, the 15461 was a one-off, I couldn't get it to run those settings again, I'm guessing due to the PCB heat soaking from running over a dozen times working my way up to that score.
