I got some clown saying a 960 pro is faster than a 970 plus .
I always thought ( I actually know )the plus is the fastest overall .
Any feedback ?

Both are very close...  as both max out the PCIE gen 3 x4 lanes on reads but I do believe the 970 plus does have better writes.

If he is saying the 960 pro has faster reads then he is wrong as they are equal essentially since they face the same bottleneck, once Samsung releases a Gen 4 NVME drive both these will be much slower than it, as they are already slower than the Gen 4 NVME drives already out on the market.

    Thanks
Getting an Intel chip to support gen 4 is the problem.

True, Rocket Lake will support it early 2021. Nvidia's new Ampere GPU's will be Gen 4(AMD's already are) so Intel will be in a hurry to at least paper launch CPU's that will also.
