In the slide below, Nvidia claimed that their RTX 2080 is good enough for 4K 60FPS gameplay, placing their RTX 2080 above their GTX 1080 Ti in terms of raw performance, with the company's RTX 2080 Ti delivering even higher performance levels. Nvidia compares the performance jump between GTX 10 series and the RTX 20 series as being similar to the performance leap when moving between the GTX 9 and GTX 10 series.

So far, Nvidia has confirmed that DLSS will be added to 25 games, utilising Nvidia's AI performance to deliver similar levels of image quality to a native resolution presentation, but with significantly lower computational requirements, providing higher framerates.

Well next week should see independent reviews. I want to see the performance comparison versus what NVIDIA claims the new cards can do.

I really wonder if the new NVIDIA Driver for the RTX will have a AI Game Mode that would help the Gamer while they are Playing and if this would be seen as Cheating or just using the AI Feature of the New Graphics Card?

I hope the reviewers see these kinds of results (1st graphic above) when they get these cards.  Still on the fence here about upgrading.  Especially at these prices.

You see, for transfer on 4K Gaming smooth we need at least GTX2080Ti.
They always say GTX1080Ti is enough but deep in self I knew that GTX1080Ti is not 4K/60fps ready card.
Don't even to talk about people who dream about monitors who will arrive soon...

What high end gaming monitor today need to have.
    4K-2016p
    HDR
    34" at least
    FreeSync
    GSync
if we talk about 144Hz something like that still not exist I think and could cost up to 1500-1600$ or more.
That mean customers could buy him and play on 2160p 60fps and easier as time pass to increase fps to 120fps when graphic card become stronger.
Because we are years, 5-6 far from 8K fluid gaming.

Gddr6 alone will help gaming but the numbers are the most important to anyone who actually cares about true performance. Unfortunately, nvidia doesn’t care what we think.

This is what I'm hoping for in the least. Solid 4k at 60 hz. Not big on twitch shooters anymore, last one I played was the late great CoD4 MW back in the early 2000's. They all went downhill since imo.

But for Star Citizen I believe this would be perfect for what I have intended so long as my frames check out.

Love the fact that Nividia thinks a couple of dashes on an graph without any scale indication is thought to be performance data. Are we all really that stupid?

It’s really insulting actually. Your average consumer willing to drop the asking price on these things isn’t usually this easily sold. I hope....

Just going off your words before the link, that part of the actual presentation a month ago. No need to click when Jensen said that repeatedly during the keynote release.

I told you, people who didn't made preorder for 2080Ti will be very sad when they start to pay 200$ more.
NVIDIA never failed... Don't think about Real Time Ray Tracing... Performance of Turing in new games and old games will be great.

I was not only sure what will NVIDIA to do, to increase price and give amazing GPU, or keep price on lower lever and improve performance just little.
I would order 2080Ti and sleep like baby. AMD will launch GPU similar to GTX1080Ti, and sell for 500-600$.

Here we see Graphic Score of RTX2080 in Time Spy arround 10.600, score of GTX1080Ti FE is arround 8000-8500.

They're cryptic for numerous reasons. One, because humans are stupid. Before you judge that comment think about how easy it is for corporations to sell their products, nowadays.

Another could be the lack of competition from AMD. Unless Navi is released to universal critical acclaim Nvidia has no equal every time they release a new product. Hence they can charge premiums and release vague performance presentations.

They know people are too weak to resist the newest tech released. People sitting on Pascal will undoubtedly switch to Turing. It's technological vanity.

People who made preorder could be satisfied and calm now.
I believe it's more than they expected. But it was obvious they didn't increase price without reason.

    Witcher 3 4K...
    2080 - 62 fps
    2080Ti 78 fps...

But there is a few games where RTX2080 will need to drop details to reach smooth fps on 4K and RTX 2080Ti stay stable nicely above 60 fps.

They sold out on preorders within the first few hours so my guess is, there are many or they're keeping stock look to give that illusion.

Down is up and left is right when it comes to marketing spin. When TSMC has troubles with the fabrication and production capacity of the largest and most complex chip Nvidia ever designed we see a $1200 price point for a retail product and claims that everything available is sold out. I truly believe they're not holding back on stock. I believe they paper launched with what they had on hand.

Ray traced games won't launch with Nvidia's GeForce RTX graphics cards

no ray traced games will be available when the GeForce RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti launch on September 20. Nvidia senior VP of content and technology Tony Tamasi confirmed that at an RTX Editor’s Day presentation, in response to a PCWorld query. Don’t expect any updates activating Nvidia's hybrid ray tracing for more lifelike lighting, shadows, and reflections in games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider at release, either.
It’s not Nvidia’s fault. Nvidia’s RTX technology—the name for a proprietary blend of hardware and software features—builds its ray tracing support on top of Microsoft’s own DirectX Raytracing API, which was announced earlier this spring. And well, DirectX Raytracing hasn’t rolled out to Windows 10 proper yet, though developers have been able to access it in Windows Insider preview builds since March.
