I play Overwatch and CSGO.  I've had no issues with new drivers.

Anyone has Gsync 165 hz? It seems to give me 10 fps less than before. Every time I roll back to 388.xx I gain those 10 fps back in rainbow 6 siege for example.

Me. I gained fps in siege Pubg battlefield 1. Gsync 165hz display.

These drivers are still running rock solid for me. I tried Total War Attila since my last post.

Rubber banding is network related
Screen tearing is hardware related.
Neither of the two would relate to a driver.

Screen tearing can be other than hardware related. Doom running in Vulkan being a prime example. No matter what vsync settings you use, it's broken with bad screen tearing. It did work previously.

FWIW, nothing bad on my end here. But then again, I never had any problem with any driver so maybe I just don't game hard enough.

My 1080 ti from stepup arrives Tuesday so Tuesday night or Wednesday I will report how the driver does with a 1080 ti and a gsync display.

I bit the bullet and installed the new one. In my case it hasn't made anything better, or anything worse.

Even Fire strike Extreme scored the same (well I gained 0.1% for GPU - but that has no meaning at all.)

So far, it's all been a bit of a non-event for me. Actually the main reason for installing is because sometimes MS Windows updates decides to update GPU drivers. It's rare in my case, but I absolutely do not want to run a MS edited version. Happened once before over a year ago. It's something I'd rather forget about.

There is no problem with the oculus rift unless he’s referring to the expired certificate issue. Which is a manual download fix.

Anyways, with a 1080 ti, I see steady FPS and absolutely zero crashes with 391.01. Same results as my 1080. This driver is the best driver I have ever used from nvidia, the first to not once crash and not once cause artifacts or FPS stutters/drops

It’s a problem even nvidia admits to and oculus even suggest not using recent drivers. See this post:

Edit: why is this forum removing my link to a oculus forum post??

Edit 2: not sure why it won’t post. Search this on the oculus forums or a google search should work:

Interesting.. well if I have a problem I guess I'll have to try the oldest set 388.59? that will work with it.

-46 in time spy, i can not  send the link to compare both results. Coreclock are not the same 1886vs1835. NO over clock on both test.

Good!  Pretty much identical!  Well within the margin of error.

GPU Boost 3.0 assures that the core clock (and thus performance) can be different with only minor environmental temperature changes.  No big deal.  Want more performance?  Crank the fans to 100% and increase the power limit to the max.

Just wanted to echo ty_ger. That is that with 3DMark ambient temp makes a bigger difference than any driver change has caused (since Pascal).

A cool draft with two windows open can work wonders which are relevant. Setting fans high of course does the same, but in my case it's the difference
between a warm room (25c +) and a cold room or draft (12c or less) that can have dramatic effects.

This makes me think these benchmarks are almost useless for comparing between similar machines unless the room temp and fan speed is also mentioned.

They are good for tracking one machine overtime and of course stability. The best test - do your games run smooth and not crash!
