Thanks! Just read that the W10 creators fall update due very soon main stream will include this driver. (I personally suspect it will have a slightly different driver number as has been the case with w10 major updates - not that it really matters either way.)

Going to install now. For once the NV forums are not all complain posts (there still are a lot) which is amazing. Leads me to believe it must be good. Still it's early days. Anyone who checks out the NV driver forums will know what I'm talking about! Not a nice forum at all, but on occasion can pick up something interesting.

Great! I’m middle earth ready now.

And apparently....... Nvidia recommends a GeForce GTX 1070 to playing Shadow of War on Ultra / 1080p or a GeForce GTX 1060 for High. 1440p players will need a GeForce GTX 1070 for High and a GeForce GTX 1080 for Ultra. Lastly, you lucky 4K gamers - a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti for High and a GeForce GTX 1080 SLI for Ultra. Gulp. It’s almost like Nvidia wants to sell more GPUs.

It supports SLI....talking about Shadow of War here, sorry for the slight hijack. ;-)

joker did a test on a 1060 at ultra 1080p and it seemed pretty close to not droping below 60 so I am sure 1080p ultra with a setting or two on 1060 would never drop below 60fps https://youtu.be/G0lQ_JIuPqc

Currently still downloading my copy of it ATM will see how the 1080ti does

I have a problem and I believe it's this latest driver on the Fall Update for Windows 10 (16299.15). With the last 385 driver, I'm fine. But, with both the latest driver and the hotfix, I get massive flickering on my desktop and it seems like applications are constantly trying to draw on top of one another. I didn't think it could be the display driver causing that type of issue, but after using DDU and going back to 385, the issue has vanished.

This could be cleared up when they release the actual fall update since I'm on what people assumed would likely be the Fall Update RTM (maybe it will have some more fixes that I'm missing or something.)

This update surprisingly adds Fast Sync support for SLI.
SLI could be worth a try now @ 4K...

There is a Big problem with this driver and the Stupid Microsoft Win10 update. People have not hardly been able to plat SWTOR because of this conflict, thought i'd say stupid Microsoft is likely to blame

It's a good thing i didn't dl this driver, because i've been thinking about updating to a better driver. :(

is it a driver or windows issue? Is it able to play in compatibility mode? It's not odd for windows to make running old games a pain. I have had to run virtual machines before to get some to work but most will be ok with just compatibility mode set to their orginal os

If your software Needs OpenCL --> you Need to download your Nvidia driver Again, directly from Nvidia.

Sorry, been to busy from Europe. From what i have heard, and i haven't ried to dl the new driver, because i do too much programming nowadays, is that It IS Microsoft, and i should have made that clear. Sorry, that i didn't make that clear and blame Microsoft in the first place. I hate that they just take over any Computer with Win 10 and Update whether you like it or not. But we did click the consent form for Microsoft to be able to do this junk. :(
