What's worse is Nvidia already delayed it silently to kill some excess 10 series inventory. Yet they still had to delay another week.

Are you saying come Sept 20th a store like Micro Center won't have any RTX 2080 Ti on their shelves for purchase?

I would guess it is either something out of Nvidia's hands, Or a last second change maybe Quality issue or firmware being addressed

I think they meant that the Nvidia store preorder won't be out but the AIB partners should be on schedule afaik.

 
Not so sure.  " Folks who haven't already gotten in line for the most powerful Turing card will need to wait an extra week to get their hands on one".  Wouldn't those who pre-ordered be considered folks who have gotten in line?
 
It's a bit cryptic but I've waited for 2 years....I can wait another month:)

Directly from Nvidia forums.  This seems to indicate that general availability and pre-orders are NOT in the same category.

Preorders are going to be top priority in my opinion. I have a feeling the Founders Edition is going to be limited series this time.

I dont know that I would say lying. But the way he presented it is that there would be sufficient stock to ship to all retailers that wish to carry them and they won't be gone in a flash.

I'm betting 5 minutes after orders open there isn't a single 2080 or 2080ti to be had anywhere but eBay and obvious other scalpers.

There is a difference between on the shelf can be purchased and all retailers got 3 cards each and sold out before you could even hit f5.

Nvidia is famous for paper launches this one is no different. Leading people to believe there is enough stock coming that you wouldn't have to preorder to get even the slightest chance is a bit shady in my book.
