Regardless...nothing new out soon...I won't have the money (or the Threadripper 2) available until at least this fall..so I'm content to wait....

we shall see.

The 1180 and 1170 will be out this summer in July.

I think that cards are going to start staying in stock longer as mining has seen a huge drop in return on investment. It’s still profitable but the return on investment now takes over twice as long. That is meaning cards on eBay are not moving as fast. I personally never thought of miners as the problem but the people who bought cards hoping to sell them for double the price are the problem.

That's interesting. Jay of JayzTwoCents doesn't think we'll see any new cards until Christmas.

Yeah I saw Jay's video. I think he needs better sources. This says the laptop chips will be out this year and Jay said next year for those.

I think its all just speculation on his part based on previous patterns he's observed with Nvidia.

That doesn't make sense either as the 1080 came out on May 27th 2016, not Christmas 2016. So I'm not seeing that pattern.

No 1180 Ti? After all someone claimed as a fact they had thousands of 1180 Ti die fully tested and just waiting for GDDR 6. Though it truly is a mystery what die that is. Since you're the expert, what die that is fully tested that the 1180 Ti will be using? I am sure everyone would like to know! I sure do! I didn't get an answer before.

That isn't what I said. You claimed as a fact that Nivida already had THOUSANDS of fully tested 1180 Ti die now. I am simply asking you WHAT DIE Nvidia is using for the 1180 Ti.  You tried this deflection last time. Again: What DIE is the 1180 Tie using? (Making sure get the question right again) You claimed as a fact they had already fully functionally tested the 1180 Ti die. Everyone can go back an look you asserted as a FACT they had wafers and die tested for ALL those products including the 1180 Ti. Last chance: what die is your mythical 1180 Ti using. (third time repeating the same question might be a charm) Tic toc.

Nah...it's just funny he doesn't want to admit he made a mistake including the **80 Ti part. I was fine with the rest of the list even though I believe his timing is wrong. But that is just an opinion.

Look, it is okay you have no idea what die your mythical XX80 Ti is using.

Let us refresh everyone's memory on the simple sentence that is in dispute:

"Ha ha, nVidia already has thousands of wafers ready to go. They have them tested and sorted from the 1180 Ti all the way down to the 1160."

Given the fact you have no idea what the die the '1180 Ti' is, your claim they have fully functionally tested thousands of them, cannot be a fact. It's really that simple and any one reading your simple post with even simple reading skills would come to the same, simple conclusion.  Honestly, one COULD make the assertion about your entire list. However, since the Ti claim was obviously the most erm...ridiculous, I picked that. Have a nice day!

I never once said there are thousands of the 1180 Ti wafers alone. I said nVidia has thousands of wafers ready and tested from the 1180 Ti all the way down to the 1160. I never said the 1180 Ti would be out this year. You apparently have a reading impairment.

Tell us all about the 1180 or 2080, we want to know the specs of the Graphics Processor, Cores, TMUs, ROPs, Memory Size, GPU Clock, Boost Clock, Pixel Rate, Texture Rate, Floating-point Performance and Memory Bandwidth.

nvidia hasn't even sampled an 1180 wafer yet, why would there be thousands of them.

Source? Here is my source that says Nvidia will retail the FE cards in July and will be delivering the GPU and memory over to partners on or around June 15th. Nvidia is beyond sample wafers.

According to industry sources who spoke with Tom's Hardware Germany's Igor Wallossek on condition of anonymity, we expect a July release for the Founder's Edition cards with third-party cards to follow in August or September. Laptop versions of the cards will come later in the year.

These sources indicate that Nvidia will be delivering the GPU and memory over to partners on or around June 15th. We expect the company to deliver Founder's Edition Cards to retail sometime in July.

Rumor has it that the next gen video cards are basically ready. The rumor also says that the release is delayed due to insufficient quantities of GDDR6. July might be enough time to have sufficient shipping quantities.
