Summary conclusion from 6 reviews is basically --> slightly slower than 2060, & on par with 1070

    pretty decent....

first shortcoming, 192-bit instead of 256-bit memory for better performance

    why not 8GB of VRAM

Yeah, the 6GB 192-bit turns me away from this card and the RTX 2060.

I'd rather go big with a 2070 as a upgrade and get way better performance than my 980 than cheap out and get something like this and end up with only slighter more performance.

I LOL.  This is like an Intel move from Nvidia.  Instead of going 1 step forward, they got 1 backwards (double facepalm)
Why dont Nvidia cut the loses and release a better GPU than the ones they have? Seriously, are people, as well as companies, become dumber every year?

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

The thing is is that this isn't something that just Intel and Nvida does, a lot of companies pull this kind of thing. I also see it as pretty much preying on those who don't know that much about GPU hardware.

Finally someone saw the light at the end of the tunnel. Yep, that is what they are doing and i am not happy about it.

What really makes this feel so predatory is the fact they're doing this as the 10-Series is drying up fast.

I think the only thing worse they could do with this card is have it be another overstock alphabet soup GPU where they randomly change the vram size, bandwidth and GPU core count. Nvidia has done that in a few chop cards in the past. Especially in the G80/G92 based stuff like GTX9600. That was a horrible example from Nvidia. To the point you could buy two of the same boxes and even get something different from different production batches. I still don't know what to make of the 1600-series, but I don't like the idea of it for multiple reasons.

I was told that this card was fake news like 3 weeks ago.

Well for 200 bucks you can get a RX580 or for $60-70 more than a 1660 you can get a 2060.
I guess its cool to have options.

It's so silly as to be fake. Still donno what Nvidia is thinking.

I would agree with that, even for budget builders. The 1100 series will be short lived (IMO), seems as if their performance is just keeping up with older 3-5 year old cards.
Maybe green team knows something about Navi and are looking to flood the market at all tiers of performance.
