Just wondering if anyone has links to any juicy Ampere news... such as a solid release date, performance specs, pricing, initial lineup?

Everything is a rumor until it's announced is how I feel. If you fallow the news it's almost impossible to keep up and the fact the stories don't really line up shows they are probably just click baiting stories.

Just guesses.  Don't expect Nivdia to upset their apple cart.  I just saw Best Buy had the founders edition 2080S on sale for $650. 
 
Expect the 3070 to drop at $599 to $699 with comparable performance to the 2080S.
 
Expect the 3080 to drop at around $799 to $999 with comparable performance to the 2080 Ti.
 
Expect the 3080 Ti to drop at around $1499.

I can agree with the performance listed, but I'm next expecting the prices to get even worse, after a major hike when the 2000 series launched. I'm not so sure I'd believe the rumored price drop (about $100 less than this gen for each card) but I don't expect it to get much worse just yet.
 
Still, my guess isn't any more valid than yours however, but maybe we'll get more info in a few months (think I heard 2 half of 2020 for the 3000 series) in any case we're not getting farther away from it (time is nice in that it normally goes in one direction, unless it's just an illusion and... *trails off into metaphysical philosophy monologue about the perception and meaning of reality*)

I can see those as decent reasons, though if you can get 2080 ti performance for $1000 now, offering 2080 ti performance for $1000 later means anyone with a 2080 ti already won't see a point in getting a new card, so targeting people who already have certain cards to replace it with a new one is a factor. Granted, that does mean they are competing with themselves (or their past selves in a way)
 
Also in the past things like getting one step up in performance for the same price when the next gen comes out is fairly common to my memory, with the latest gen having the largest jump in price for their top cards I've seen and an exception to that rule (in fact first generation I've skip upgrading on since I first started buying GPUs with the GTX 285, because they offered mostly the same performance for the same price)
 
Also, while my knowledge of crypo is limited, from what I understand it gets harder over time, so any boost it gets more powerful GPUs will level off over time, though how long it takes I don't know.
 
I'm sure part of my perspective it leaning due to wishful thinking (I want meaning margin upgrade over my 1080 ti for $700 or less, as the 2080 and 2080 super didn't quite get there)
 
one though on the 3080 ti, is comparing them to workstation cards is more in the range of the Titan RTX (which has been holding the place of somewhere in between Consumer and profession) Though it's possible you could have two cards in that spot.
