It's possible that the driver version you posted above works, but I can't confirm that it does or does not, unfortunately. The one we have verified as working with the Gen 3 Ryzen chips is a couple versions before that: https://cdn.evga.com/nuaudiocard/ASMUSBHost_V116261WHQL.zip For all those affected, give this a shot and let me know if you run into issues. It seems to be an issue with the Win 10 (1903) driver, but this is at least a workaround. As mentioned before, we're still checking with ASMedia to determine if anything else needs to be done.

And why does a USB controller affect the operation of the sound card if it is going on a PCIe port?.
Because the sound card microcontrollers are connected via USB controller to the PCI-E slot. Kind of odd, yes. Rather than designing PCI-E compatible signals, the audio card team decided to put an ASMedia USB controller in the middle and let it do the PCI-E communication stuff.
Pretty much, but there's an obvious reason why the ASMedia chip is there. The ASMedia controller is the bridge between the XMOS MC and the PCIe. Since the XMOS MC is the brains of the outfit, and USB-based, something needs to act as the bridge chip.

I have a doubt, why Windows 10 does not update the driver that fails with a Z390 board and Intel processor and instead with AMD Ryzen 3er. Gen. does it?.

You might also ask about why it works with a Ryzen Gen 2, but not Gen 3. No idea from my end.

Did some testing and we were able to reproduce the issue. It seems the latest Windows driver for ASMedia in 1903 doesn't want to play nice. An older ASMedia driver version works fine. We'll provide an ASMedia driver for anyone affected to install while we sort out this issue with ASMedia probably tomorrow. I don't imagine it should make any difference in audio quality.
Any news about the ASMedia driver?.

so, does the driver (1.16.29.1) work perfectly with AMD Gen 3 processor - ryzen 3900x on the asrock X570 pro mobo motherboard: dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/DriversForWin10/USB3/USB3_AsMedia_Win10_64_VER116291.zip
Please confirm this. I have all kinds of EVGA products, and I might need to buy a different sound card. I have an asus xonar essence stx - older software that didn't like nvidia one bit - soooo, if i have to get another audio card, it would be nice if the software worked. Thanks!

I can't verify if that driver will work or not, but I posted another driver at the top of this page that does work, and the latest driver has it incorporated to prevent this issue from occurring if you are using a Ryzen Gen3 CPU.
