Hi all,

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to look at my post.

Right, I have been using my NuAudio with a headset since purchase but I want to use it with my Denon stereo amp for a while. Now, I have a Toslink in and Analogue in on my amp and this is where I am a little lost. The amp is not an expensive one by any means so I am presuming the DAC on the NuAudio is better than the Denons internal so to benefit from this do I need to connect the PC to the AMP via Analogue? If I connect via TOSLINK wont the AMP then convert it again to digital?

I hope this makes some kind of sense.

Use analog if you want to use the expensive features of the NU Audio card which you paid for. Otherwise, with TOSLINK, the NU Audio card would just act as a digital passthrough (which you could have purchased from some other company for $30 and it would sound identical).

That is what I was thinking. Thanks for taking the time to reply and help me with this. Much appreciated. Time to find my analog cables :-)
