And I've never heard one word from Nvidia yet either on when they will actually be able to restock their own FE 3080 cards ...
  All about hyping up & making all types of teases & announcements  of the card before release ,..- but then - radio silent about restocking even their own store .

They probably have to fix their terrible website before they try and sell any more cards.

I'd heard that we (consumers) could expect new stock every few days or so, but now it's looking more and more like this was a paper launch just to try and beat AMD to the market.
 
Maybe there were some delays and things will pick up, but it doesn't look good if quantities remain super low.

Just to note, EVGA's own site is unlikely to restock, but their etailers and retailers most likely will, but it's obviously up to them when to put them up so keep an eye out on the usual sites.

Per Jacob, "Expect to see some this week at ETAIL/Retail.".  This was in response to the 3090, but on all of his other responses regarding 3080 and FTW, he kept saying "etailer".  So...yes to both brick & mortar and online, but which models is unknown as that's up to the individual company to put them up for sale and how.

Well, being that there has already been a shortage of units, and production is shutting down completely for over a week, how long do we think it'll be until actual people start getting cards that aren't bought for double price on ebay?

Does this include the eu.evga store? I swear I remember jacob saying that EU will be stocked this week?

I just looked up Golden Week. That's pretty cool. 7-8 days off for the whole country. Must be nice. Nothing like that here in the USA. Just work work work and keep working. Anyway, really sucks for availability. Why did Nvidia even launch these cards when they did? They could have just waited a month and had plenty of time to stock up fully and do a real launch. Instead they have like zero cards and launch right before China shuts down for a week. Now there seems like none are on the way any time soon. All this does is make customers mad.

Pseudo paper launch to get something into the market before the AMD announcements.

I thought they were getting stock every few days? 

I think they underestimated demand but compounded by that they did not have very many of them to begin with.
 
Samsung yields were not very good at the start of production which is to be expected for a new chip\process.
 
They should be getting decent yields by now but it is going to take longer than normal to get shipments of working cards from the Chinese OEM manufactures making them for Nvidia and the AiBs.
 
This release is extra strange because of the logistic impacts the pandemic has caused.

Never in my life have I ever had this much trouble throwing $800 at a company for one of their products!!  Sheesh!!
