Ugh seriously?! This has been such a disaster. I've stopped caring and will just wait until the spring or summer at this point.

I'm not sure why they'd stop sales on their own site. Trying to get through the F5 spam was annoying, but at least I had a chance at getting the card. The only thing I can hope is that they withstand the traffic influx next time they have a drop and that it's a large enough drop to last for at least 5 minutes.

EVGA stopped sales for this week to work on the checkout process. They'll be back and hopefully with a far more robust system to deter the bots.

Meanwhile situation in EU is that retailers, and especially France, are charging 1000€ (almost 1200$) for a card that EVGA sells at 840€ (980$) but that we can't buy on EVGA own website, because prices with / without VAT are broken and also because there's no stock compared to the amount of times I saw people say " There's stock on EVGA US Store ".
I just want to say, despite you guys needing to refresh browsers and I understand the annoyance of doing so, believe me, I wish I was like you. Able to do so and to know I might get something soon. Because here, except maybe Amazon, and if / when EVGA fix their own website, there's no way I'll buy on those retailers because of the absurd price / theft the retailers are doing (prices are 20% higher than EVGA's own prices).
Anyway, keep going guys, you'll get a card if you hold tight !

everyone in the forums and on Twitter was raging about EVGA’s site so they pulled it down and offloaded to others so they can deal with it. Guess people won’t be complaining about site stability now lol.

I tried to throw $1800 at them and they wouldn’t take it either. I laugh at your 800 sir! Kidding aside, it has been adventure. Not only been having trouble getting these, but my experience with the ps5 has been the same. Graphics cards dealing with bots. Ps5 dealing with the same thing, but worst. The “in person “preorder are getting bought out by GameStop managers/employee so they make a quick profit on eBay as well. At this point, I have given up hope. No point, in getting angry tbh. if I can get a card soon great. If I don’t, I’ll just wait for team red and see what they got to offer.
True story, I was totally onboard with getting a 3090 FTW3 Ultra and tried to hitting the final purchase button on like 8 separate occasions (after reloading the page and getting redirected to nowhere) without luck. Since that went bust I've had a change of heart and revised my purchase down to a 3080 as I can't see that 10-15% being worth $1000 realistically. Bad webpage and supply shortage cost the impulse buy for the super expensive product.

etailers and retailers are getting the shipments so they will be restocking their site; it's just no one knows when. It's completely up to the individual business to release for sale.

I was kind of hoping to get a 3080 before Star Wars Squadrons, but I feel my system can run it just fine, 2070 super, just want the extra power ya know. Really hoping I can get one before CP2077 but not sure. I really want EVGA as that's what I have now

I think they underestimated demand but compounded by that they did not have very many of them to begin with.
This seems to be the case from what I've seen. I think they assumed demand would be similar to the 20-series launch, but many people skipped the 20-series because of the price. Hence, there are a lot of 10-series customers who've been waiting a long time to upgrade, and the 30-series was what they were set on.

This may be due to the stability issues EVGA found just before release. It seems that EVGA knew about the boost/OC problems the 30-series cards have and reached out to reviewers to request that they hold off on any opinions until EVGA could remedy the situation. This could also account for the delays you're seeing above.

To be honest though, if someone thought that a superior, lower-priced item was going to sell the same then they should find a new line of work. I mean, nothing consumers can do about it though. It is bizarre that most places have only seen a tiny, single re-supply over 3 weeks, and the last time any were in stock online was nearly a week ago.

Logistics right now are having a big effect on inventory here in the US. I guarantee that there are thousands of cards sitting in containers waiting their turn to go on a container ship...........

Yeah, I've seen some MSI, PNY, and Zotac floating around. A few Gigabyte Eagles.
Zotac and MSI just made their cards unnecessarily HUGE for no real reason. My case is a Corsair 280x, so that's certainly something I have to consider.
Some smaller cards cool better than the 3080 FE. I assume they just used the same setup for the 3080/3090 to save costs. If I can't get ahold of a FTW, an Asus TUF would be my second choice.

Ya Nvidia must of been tipped off about AMD has this year. The way all this release went at such a rush and all the hype.
Hoping AMD keeps Nvidia honest for a bit as we would all win in the end.
I've been hearing this story for years. Fury, Polaris, Vega, Radeon VII, 5800 et al. Never has AMD been able to release a stable card that could compete. The VII was the same cost as the 20 series cards minus all the fancy specialized hardware and still died in the crib due to horrible drivers. And now they're going into this new generation of AI upscaling and raytracing with all first-gen hardware and drivers? "Believe it when I see it" in full effect.

Does MSI's card have problems? My 560 Ti, 960 4GB, and 1060 6GB were all MSI and they were/are great cards. They are still running strong in friends' computers.

If you're waiting for an email to alert you stock is available, you will be disappointed. Cards will be long gone before you even receive such an email.
