I kind of spaced out the Intel news earlier this year about some security issues. I came back a month later and no updates for my Classified K. Any news if this problem has been sorted and we are in the clear or are we still waiting for updates?

Intel released the microcode for Skylake and another first, but were delayed in issuing for other processor lines. I expect most companies have been waiting on those before sending out another BIOS.
 
I hope it's soon, the 2.02+ line of BIOS have been much more stable with respect to accurate voltages and respecting the "target voltage" option at all.
 
2.0X, unfortunately, has had the descriptions of the DRAM timings rendered useless. They are duplicated and in some cases triplicated, ruining the ability to set them correctly without prior knowledge. PLEASE FIX.

No updates for a year, that sounds more like a vendor issue.  I seen 3-4 updates for my Z270 from ASUS, that doesn't include the Spectre update.
