I see lots of people complaining about faulty Nintendo Switch units.

The plastic doc is scratching the screen
The software was closed because an error occurred  (happening a lot)
Unit causing high pitch annoying sound

I would post a video showing some of it but it has cursing in it, but i don't want to stand with my nose in the corner.

I have had zero problems with mine since launch night. Some bad units are going to get out when shipping 2 million units. I think the majority of them are fine though. Are people just slamming them in and out of the dock or what? I am careful taking mine in and out. Even then it does not give Nintendo a pass for not adding some kind of protection inside the dock. Common.

Terrible. You know what really pisses me off about this though? Retailers are just as responsible since they don't do 1 per customer per address etc. Sure it wont completely stop it because people have friends and family but could help a little bit to allow people to get one. I never even gave it a second thought to scalp mine since I really wanted it.

Same here, no issues. I do agree Nintendo did drop the ball on the way the dock was design which can cause screen scratches. I'm super careful putting the switch in the dock. I ordered a screen protector from Amazon, dam thing does not get shipped out till next week.

Watching youtube videos shows all of the issues.. for it to be so new, there is a lot of little nuances that come up.. like the wristt strap piece that goes on the controller getting stuck.. or the fact that nintendo included a note on their websites that dead pixels are normal and fine...

Why Nintendo just didnt give us a straight console "like the N64" a tradnail cordless controller with the console, SSD for the OS, and went with SD cards for the games, maybe multi SD card slots.  Forget this tablet crap, thats what the 3DS is for. Dont need a large HDD for media, this is Nintendo games, Nintendo should just get back to their roots, heck i still play good ol SNES and N64 on my system.

Why on earth they thought it would be a good idea to put a plastic screen on one of these is beyond me...  There's a reason cell phones don't have plastic screens.

Leave it to Nintendo to claim "dead pixels are normal and fine".

That would be like hardware mfg saying "coil whine is normal and fine".

Been playing so much of the new Zelda on my Switch and loving it.  Zero issues with my Switch.  I have pulled it out of the dock many times (not even carefully) before I even heard about people scratching the screens with no scratches on mine.

    Back to Zelda.

most likely they went with plastic screens to keep kids from cracking there screens. as a scratched screen beats a shattered one

Yup. Gotta make it some what "kiddie" proof. People taking them in and out fast or just even dunking them in I can see it getting scratched. Or having bent docks which I have read is causing this as well. I have been docking/undocking mine many times since launch and not a single scratch. Some people need to stop being so damn rough and take care of their stuff. I seen some moron unboxing her brand new launch Switch and manages to break a joy con. Stupid idiot. Also just slamming her brand new Switch on the table and just being rough with every thing.
