I'm building a new PC (used old GPU/SSD) but I can't get a video feed.
Mobo: EVGA Z390 FTW
EVGA 240(?) CLC
PSU: 750 EVGA G3
CPU: 8086k
GPU: amd radeon fury x
Ram: 1x stick of HyperX Predator Black 8GB 3200MHz DDR4
SSD: Samsung 850 evo (windows 10 installed)
Fans and lights work but Motherboard shows D4 (or is it 04) + no video + doesn't beep.
*the USB's (keyboard/mouse) don't light up
Nothing shows up on the monitor unless I swapping the GPU with an old GTX 760 where it says something about legacy drivers(?) and every time I tell it use the default/optimized settings it just loops back to the bios start screen. Never got it to load the OS.
*It says CPU/ram has changed but I believe that’s normal on first boot?
*IIRC the GTX 760 says D4/04 aswell
*If remove the hard-drive connected it changes error to 97
*USB's (keyboard/mouse) light up when the GTX 760 is in
I've tried:
Re-seating everything
Moving ram around to different slots
Checking all cables
Tested GPU/SSD is another PC
Is it possible the SSD is just to old (or windows 10 doesn't like being moved to a new mobo's?) and isn't supported?
Only thing left for me to try is create a USB boot drive (and/or buy a m.2) and see if that works.
Any suggestions?
