i switched my case from the corsair air 540 as much as it was a good case. gpu clearance with power link was super tight, with a ftw 3 it wouldn't have fit with power link

Ok only got a few pics - it was a real rush job putting it together because I have so much going on atm so had to squeeze in time where I could. Had some issues with the sound, finally figured out one of my speaker/headset cables somehow crapped itself between the old build and the new - at least it wasn't an issue with the motherboard! Also a high quality DP cable I purchased would not work - was worried for a moment that I had damaged the Titan X Pascal while mounting the EVGA Hybrid cooler, but was very relieved to find it was just a bad cable. My old relatively cheapo DP cable is back on the job :) The EVGA Hybrid cooler on the Titan X Pascal makes a huge difference - runs nearly 40+°F cooler under load than it did previously. Amazing, and long long overdue. Still somewhat disgusted NVidia put out a premium item like this card with such inadequate cooling. Have not tried to clock it yet, but there sure is plenty of o/c room for it now! I replaced the stock EVGA fan with a 120mm Be Quite high-speed "SilentWings3" DC fan plugged into the card on the 3-pin plug. Very very quiet, very efficient, basically plug and play. Bit of a mission mounting that cooler though - so many tiny little screws lol! I had to mount the GPU radiator with the tubes at the top due to case size, but there doesn't appear to be any issues with air in the system so it's all good. Was not able to use the EVGA powerlink unfortunately - not enough clearance, as Ab1987 mentioned above. I replaced my old Corsair H105 CPU cooler with the EVGA CLC 280 CPU cooler. Very similar setups. Cooling performance is similar, EVGA a little better under full load, but then again this is an i7-7700k which I believes run hotter than my old i7-4790k so perhaps the EVGA is quite a bit better. I am using 2 x 140mm Be Quiet high-speed PWM fans instead of the stock EVGA fans, and have the fans plugged into the motherboard Q-control with a medium fan curve on it. So far so good. I'm not using EVGA software for it, no need unless I want to change the color on it, which I don't. ;) So here's a couple of pics - note the 3D-printed 40mm fan mount to cool the m.2 module - I was a little concerned about throttling on that NVMe drive, but this little fan seems to do a good job, and is quiet as a mouse even though I have it running on 100% power. I have a couple of other 3D printed parts but ran out of time and had to get the machine up and running, so I'll go back and do that some other time (who knows when, given I'm so busy I'm down to ~3-4 hours sleep a night as it is, lol - taken me a couple of days just to get around to writing this!). Very fast machine, photoshop is so quick, graphics are beautiful, super quiet.. I'm totally stoked. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.. man I've been hurling abuse at the machine several times because of Windows 10.. slowly getting it sorted though.

ASUS ROG supply the 3D printing plans (they have some nice cable combs there btw) but they don't make or sell the items themselves, I had to get it made by a 3rd party with a 3D printer.

Yup, flawless. I've had no issues whatsoever, booted first try, no hiccups whatsoever with the board. Audio is good too. I have not had time to overclock yet. The Q-fan controls are great - this is the first build in years that I have not needed to use a separate fan controller. Only negatives at this point - I miss the EVGA main cable connection being sideways rather than straight up - don't know why all mobo manufacturers don't do this. Also noticed the mobo PCB itself is rather thin.. it flexed significantly when plugging in the main power cable in - EVGA boards seem much stronger. The 3D parts weren't too bad - the 3D plans came from ASUS (free), then I used Shapeways to make them - you can upload plans if they don't have them already. The m.2 fan holder was $11.50 which is ok.. if you know someone with a 3D printer then that would much cheaper probably. Also ordered a custom nameplate for $6.50, and a cable cover which was a bit more expensive for some reason - about $28.

I noticed the PCB doesn't have as many layers but they did reinforced the PCI-E and Memory slots. If i was moving the mobo to new cases every other day, i would be concerned about it. Have you ever used one of these? https://www.moddiy.com/products/24%252dPin-ATX-Power-Male-Header-Connector-%252d-90%25-Angled-%252d-Black.html

Haven't tried it.. but this involves ripping out the existing one and soldering the new one in. Nope, not going that far while still under warranty. Wonder why someone doesn't make a 'plug & play' one? ..ahh, they do! : https://www.moddiy.com/pr...ee-Angled-Adapter.html <-- this was what I was looking for - ordered. :) Other thing I'm having problems sourcing are the m.2 screws and standoffs - apparently the ASUS ones supplied are proprietary, and outside of getting them custom made by an engineering shop, it seems they cannot be purchased anywhere - and ASUS apparently have no desire to help anyone with this issue - even going as far as telling people to RMA the entire motherboard because the m.2 screw and standoff was missing (this is where I miss EVGA service). I need a couple more sets for the 3D printed mounts. Searching on Google I see a lot of people having the same problem. Bah. Ended up ordering this set from Amazon - hopefully one of these will do the trick (apparently the ASUS mounts are threaded for M2 size screws), along with a few tiny nylon washers instead of standoffs.

My bad, i thought it was an adapter. I should of looked at the pins on 24-pins on the mobo closer.

Still no word, so I contacted ModDIY again today, they advised it should ship tomorrow (April 28th), despite the status being changed to "packing" way back on April 16th. Clearly not going to get parts by this weekend either. Frustrating. Just ran a quick o/clock on the CPU - 5.0GHz absolutely no problem lol. Ran full load stress test although only 5 minutes, CPU temp sat at 59-60 °C max, although when I looked at the individual cores they were sitting around 68-69 °C. Pretty happy with that! :)

Sigh. I didn't realize ModDIY was based in Hong Kong. Although they were supposed to send the package 5 days ago, I now have tracking details and it hasn't even left Hong Kong yet, it's still processing through the postal facility in HK as of 10am this morning. The order was placed April 16th... Probably at least another week before I receive anything, then I'll have to wait for a clear day in a weekend to take my desktop apart again and start over. Likely going to be near a month (I have a busy schedule all the time), so I'll just start a new thread then. On a positive note, after pleading with an ASUS Rep about them not supplying enough m.2 standoff screws and being unable to get them anywhere else other than custom made by an engineer (the standoffs are proprietary), miracle of miracles, I actually received in the mail today 2 sets of m.2 screw and standoffs that I needed to mount the 3D printed parts on the motherboard! Wow!!! They didn't even ask money for it!! Thanks to Justin Vu at ASUS for the service, and to MSim here for passing on the email info to me (and yelling at ASUS on their forums, lol).

I got the monitor ~3+ years ago, it's not new. Been thinking about a new one but this one is pretty sweet. I use photoshop (this monitor has excellent color accuracy etc), text work, coding etc., not just gaming, so even if I did replace it, I'd probably still want to go 2k.

I think there might still be some better monitors coming in the 2nd half of this year so maybe waiting is a good option.

Yeah seems a bit overdue. The ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278Q is still one of the best gaming monitors out there, and that was released almost 3 years ago now?
