P226 is a little big for EDC.  Great duty weapon for LEO, but bad for CCW.  It would be fine for open carry though that isn't my cup of tea. ;)

Very high end/high quality.  Definitely nice.

Way to nice to EDC in my opinion.

Yes it does. Not really a fan of silly labels to show the same thing as what everyone else would have, but I don’t really care enough to let it bother me, lol.

If you like 40 you should look into 10mm. Granted the P220 is single stack, but you can run some hot ammo in it.

I just wanted a caliber I didn't have yet..
 
For those who asked if this was my EDC (every day carry for those who don't know), no it's not...It's not that it's big (I carry a full size Smith and Wesson E-Series 1911TA as an EDC and I don't print), it's just a range gun...solid...great action (I got the SA/DA model..they come in SA only, but my 1911 is already that)....smooth slide...the thing is a beast..
 
I might look into a 10mm...but not for a few months...Just started working again a month (or is it two now?) or so ago...need to save up SOME money and still buy a PC (trying to wait for Threadripper 2..may not make it)
 

I like the .40S&W. I had a Glock 23, Loved the hell out of it! might get another one... After I get my 1911 though.

Saw a guy at the range the other day with a "silenced" AR "pistol" chambered in 9mm (same size rifle but pistol caliber). And when I say "silenced", I mean actually silenced, not suppressed. You don't even need hearing protection to shoot it. Makes a cute little sound.

I hate that as well man. Edit: I also hate the grip safety. Yes I know 1911s have them but with a striker fired gun it is weird. I dont know if I recall, but does the gun also not fire without a mag inserted into it as another safety feature? Its so people who are idiots when they clean their firearms right?

First thing I do is drop the mag, rack the slide a few times. But then again, that's just common sense. It's missing from many peoples' brains.

Been waiting for Springfield Armory to finally announce the XD-S Mod 2 in 9mm since they announced the .45acp a few months ago. With a full sized metal framed handgun you're not going to notice a difference between .40 and 9mm. I always laugh when I hear 9mm +p talk or +p+ talk. Obviously they got the wrong caliber. 
 
Where the pictures at, OP? You can't create a gun thread about a new gun without pictures. 

Nothing wrong with 9mm +p or +p+. It has enough stopping power for the FBI to switch to it over the .40 caliber.

Do your friends mess with you by saying "you military guys need that on your weapons". 
They should of just put "grip zone" on a paper sleeve that went over the grip.

Now my EDC? I picked up a ruger EC9s for $219 at my lgs. added a crimson trace laser to it and a hogue handall grip for a total of $380.

Sig 226 are dependable

Put new grips on the Beretta.  Didn't like how fat the factory rubber ones made it feel so I bought some G-10 grips for it.
