The AMD cpu's stock is improving day by day so Id personally not settle for less than you want. You'll most likely get it soon.

The 5600x and 5800x have been in stock at several retailers and staying in stock for awhile.

Basically what these contracts are saying is that BestBuy (newegg, microcenter also) customers are more important than EVGA customers.

I had to laugh at this one a little, hehehe. EVGA customers also shop at Best Buy, Newegg, and Microcenter, fyi. In fact, you can't even shop at microcenter as a bot. You literally have to show up, wait in line, and do all the legwork physically to buy the product, which makes you a pretty loyal customer, really.

You may have the best chance w Zotac Store Drops - yesterday they dropped 50 Trinity 80's.  They usually drop everyday

Don't really want a Zotac, but I'm so far down the list for a 3080 here in the queue that I wouldn't mind buying one to use while I wait. They are priced much better than MSI, also. Do you know about what time they do their drops? Thanks for the tip, regardless.

Received my email at 2:41 PM today.  Already got a 3070 in November from CDW, but stayed in for a buddy of mine.  Gonna be selling it to him for the amount I paid.  Also used enewt's associate code.

Congratulations and thanks for reporting back to the thread.

Thanks also for using the Associate’s Code for your 3% discount at check-out.  Enjoy your new gaming goodness.

Ok, it is a little late, but let's give it a go.  If you can still find your 3987 "invite to purchase" email AND want to buy that card, do the following:

     (1) reply to the email (it should have come from ordernotify@evga.com) and indicate your desire to purchase the card (with maybe an explanation as to why you are pursuing this in March 2021 (missed the 8 hour window, grew despondent and swore off of computers for two plus months (kidding about this piece)).
     (2) call EVGA customer service during their working hours (9 to 6 am Weekdays (excluding EVGA holidays)): 1.888.881.EVGA (3842)
     (3) they should be able to locate your reply, confirm that the queue has reached your registration and reissue you a new email with a new link to purchase your card.  It might take a day or so for them to confirm on-hand inventory and issue the replacement email.

Please be vigilant about checking your in-box, whitelist ordernotify@evga.com with your preferred email client, and do not panic about the 8 hour window.  EVGA will get you sorted.

I'm not agreeing with the angle ken is going for here, because it's a fruitless path to take.  For example, if your product is in Walmart, Walmart is going to dictate a lot of terms to you.  If you don't like it, they'll delist you and give that shelf space to someone else.  That's just the business, and I'd imagine there are similar mechanisms when selling to Newegg, BestBuy, Micro Center, and a few other retailers where AIBs are sold.

That said, from a hierarchy point of view, if EVGA ships cards to say BestBuy, BestBuy is the customer in that transaction.  People who then buy cards from BestBuy are customers of BestBuy, but consumers of EVGA products.  If someone buys from EVGA direct, then that person is a customer of EVGA, and a consumer of EVGA products.  I understand why that doesn't immediately resonate with a typical shopper, but that is how it is on a transactional level.  Again, not agreeing with the angle, but it is technically correct in terms of who the real customer is.

Wow, two straggler drops from a 3898 drop that wasn't very big to begin with.

It makes me wonder how many people got a time stamp who were never serious about wanting to buy the card. Maybe it went to their junk folder. Who knows.

Thanks enewt, I'll give it a try, that was back on November 2nd and it came from support@ so I won't hold out too much hope, since you mentioned it I should have actually tried that earlier, just was worn out with the busy holiday season, covid and missing the window, came close to swearing never to touch a computer again :)

Will keep you posted. Thanks again.

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2021/03/04 18:47:26 (permalink)
I am caught on a work call that will likely stretch for hours, but here is an update with the reports I have been able to source on what appears to be a straggler day pretty much across the board.

Please note that despite just a few units dropping to the 3987 (3090 FTW3 Ultra), its movement through the timeline is pretty dramatic. I would assume that as each card gets into the middle of October, it too should have a pretty high velocity through the timeline (it is just getting there that is taking our souls to new levels of despair).  But hope springs eternal and there has certainly been the rare occasion when EVGA makes a sizable drop to the queues on a Friday...rare, but it has happened.

Regardless, EVGA opens tomorrow at 9 am PT and we will be here, on the wall, waiting...and watching.

Have a good night.

As of 6:45 pm PT Thursday, March 4, this is the status of the North American queues (bolded font represents movement from the morning of Thursday, March 4; italicized parentheticals calculate the length of movement from the prior report):

The AMD cpu's stock is improving day by day so Id personally not settle for less than you want. You'll most likely get it soon.

The 5600x and 5800x have been in stock at several retailers and staying in stock for awhile.

This is awesome to hear.  I'm planning on a 5800x build in another few weeks or so.  Probably going to be in a Corsair 5000D Airflow.  Hoping to make it thru the queue for a EVGA 3898 waterlogged card and then I'm looking for one of the new Sabrent Rocket 4+ SSDs with 32GB of 3600 RAM.  I think this on a ASUS TUF Gaming X570-PLUS motherboard would be a fantastic foundation for a new gaming and multipurpose system.

amd.com has had the 5800 and 5600 up for hours this evening.  The 5600 just moved to out of stock, but the 5800 is still live.  The 5900 and 5950 went up for about a minute earlier this afternoon, but they poofed quick.

It's definitely further along than that. There was a drop yesterday and no one here mentioned getting a notification.

Just wanted to let you know, heard back from them super fast, as expected they said it's been too long and to re-enter the queue. Since I did re-enter the queue back in November for that 3090 again and the 3080... I'll just wait. I do wish they had 10-16 hour windows instead of 8.

Here is hoping production speeds up.

this is a joke. 9:00 was when signup was possible.

It's definitely further along than that. There was a drop yesterday and no one here mentioned getting a notification.

Yeah! I know the cheaper version is likely not as high a priority to fulfill as the more expensive version for obvious reasons that we have more than discussed throughout our hundreds of pages here ... but yes, we all wish more folk came back and reported here when they got their notifications! It is still entirely possible that there are a great many EVGA direct customers who have signed up for notifications to buy these cards, yet they don't even know of the existence of this forum.

That's a bummer.  If you want to push it, you could try tweeting at JacobF with an explanation as to the delay in inquiring.  He might engage to help, but it is a long time since your email was sent.

How do you know that there was a drop yesterday in this case? There two possibility: no one mentioned or there wasn't drop

EVGA_JacobF, is it possible to tell us at least last "DateEntered" in line that was notified? This information mean almost nothing: without no knowledge how many people in line and how many cards in each drop it almost useless. Beside that this information already maintains by community. Not so accurate as it can be, but anyway...

Use associate code to save 3% on your EVGA GPU purchase! And up to 10% on other products!

A very reasonable request, in my opinion, and it would definitely be useful for those of us tracking this forum!

Best of luck tomorrow!

After the 3987 being stagnant for a couple of weeks, this week’s drops put me from 4 days out to 9.5 hours out in the cue, so now I’m wondering if Friday’s gonna be the day.

I hope that everyday from now on has at least a move on the 3897. It's starting to pick up pace... I have good patience but this is kind of terrible. If a 3080 Ti comes before my time comes from the regular 3080 queue, might just as well enter for a Ti when that new queue opens up.

Not really. There were a couple of 9:02 stragglers that went out this week, but the 3655 isn't moving. The 3657 is the one that drops consistently.

Man what's happening with the 3080 FTW3 Ultra? We had some nice momentum for the past 2 weeks and it was going fast, but now this whole week we've been getting scraps and the queue barely moved... :(
