I reordered my "delayed" walmart 3090 FTW (since Thu last week).  Their customer service said there was a "system error" that led to my order not being shipped /rolleyes.  Sigh ... new ETA of 12/3.  Maybe it will ship this time?!?

Damn dude, that sucks. Really glad you got to reorder it. Hope it ships this time

My 3090 from Walmart made it to a facility about 45 mins from me but they won't deliver until Friday. I tried to see if I can pick it up but they said no lol

NO black drops? Like people getting FTW a month after I signed up, making me turn over to ASUS. I get it FTW has larger profit margin, but just tell me you aren't making anymore blacks so I can delete my account.

Seems like there was one big 3080 Black drop in the two weeks since they started producing them and basically silence otherwise. I'm looking up $1100 MSIs on eBay bc I just have no faith in getting one by the end of the year after the no progress this week.

We both are on 9/16 and likely won't see a card before the end of the year. The last drop was +15 minutes this week. IMO anyone in the queue after September isn't seeing a 3080 Black.

Unless there's a miracle, probably not, but who knows. Maybe December is a strong month and they can get over the initial surge of orders and can fulfill everything over the next 2-3 months

Probably not, they're both still on 9/16. I'm 3:56pm on the 16th and even I have doubts about getting a card this year.

I think that is right...high likelihood you are looking at 2021.  They both still need to go through the gauntlet of the launch day congestion and the Gaming card isn't really dropping in any material numbers.  Sorry we don't have better news for you.

You have no chance based on current data. Honestly, you probably won’t see either card before the 4000 series launches. Black hasn’t even hit launch day yet.

Fair points, that's what I figured as well. It would be nice if once someone buys a 3070/3080/3090, it would remove the other 3070/3080/3090 spots that they also queued in so everyone would get a fair chance to get a Gpu.

Forgive my ignorance but I've never owned an EVGA card before. What exactly are some of the high level differences between the Black, Gaming, Ultra, etc? Just stock vs overclocked & maybe some ARGB effects?

backplate vs. no backplate
rgb vs. no rgb
and the upper end of the stack has slightly increased boost clocks, and extra temperature monitoring sensors and stuff that overclockers would use.

For me, I'd take the MSRP black edition cuz it's just gonna sit in my (non windowed) case and I don't mess with overclocking dials, so I don't really care about the extra 5-10fps.

However, due to the shortage, and the fact that (rumors here) these MSRP cards are really low margin, maybe even losses, I queued up for everything in the stack, and I'll take whatever comes first.

I don't like spending 100 dollars more than I need to, but I would rather EVGA get's an extra hundred from me than pay some scalper for an MSRP card.

I don't see people on 9/16 or 17 moving off the 3080 queue. We have the greatest likelihood of seeing a 3080.

Yeah I was briefly hopeful about getting a Black before CP2077 after the big 2-hour jump last week, but between the complete lack of movement this week and the holiday break, I'm back to doom and gloom. Two of my friends got 3080s from Discord notification groups and I feel like a clown for not trying harder with those.

To be honest, same here. I have tried discord groups for rtx 3080 stock, but bots always beat it when I try to add things in cart.

I bought my 3080 ultra 3 weeks ago from evga, if they announce a 3080 ti can we step up to that card? I guess they would have to be in the notification system right ?

Back in the 10 series days, I bought a 1080 from EVGA, then stepped up to the 1080ti.  However, I had bought the 1080 only just before the 1080ti was announced.  Given the 3080 is brand new and they haven't even caught up with orders on that, I highly doubt the 3080ti is coming any time soon so most likely it will be beyond the step-up period.

My guess is that the "3080Ti" is already released, aka, the 3090.  I mean, the 3090 is priced only slightly higher than the past "Ti" high end cards and definitely not as high as the prior generations "Titan" series.  I also heard somewhere that Nvidia was dropping the "Ti" naming scheme but that may very well be speculation.

This is the common speculation and may be correct.  The counter argument is that the 3090 is the Titan of the line. Either way, even if there IS a 3080ti it almost surely won't be for another year or so.  Unless I'm wrong :)

mdcurry
I spend my time making a hell  of a lot more money than if I spent it looking for a card. I bought a MSI 3090 TRIO to hold me over. I paid a little extra but I can scalp it back when I get my EVGA, or lose a few bucks, but I have the card to use. I am also pushing my 2080 tis hard in my other racing systems. I have 3 rigs for me and friends and three systems for standing VR, so I need a lot of cards.

That's the beauty of the queue; it takes no time :)

I managed to snag a FE 3090 off Best Buy when I was just idly looking which was nice.  That and my 3090 EVGA queue hopefully pops soon as it is less than 12 hours away now I think.  I should have two 3090s in hand by the end of the year for sure I think :)  One goes in my work system, the other in my sim station.

Ah, thanks for the info. I didn't have time to research that thoroughly at the time I signed up for notifications and just chose the 3070 Black. IIIRC the Nvidia MSRP is $499 but EVGA is selling it for $540 which is fine. I had also heard that Nvidia was trying to push AIBs to meet an unrealistic price target so if I'm paying slightly more to help EVGA cover the true cost + make a little profit I've got no problem with that. However, like you, I've never been big into OCing so higher end cards don't interest me due to their cost.

Reading through the thread...I saw at least 3-4 drops of the 3070’s...is that the 3070 Ultra or the 3070 XC3 black? Because I’m waiting on my 3070 XC3 black and although I haven’t received an email yet, I wanna know if the queue moved for those since a lot of people either ordered or removed out of queue.
