enewtSome distributors aren't taking orders for a few models given the low availability. So, while those models aren't discontinued per EVGA, they are darn near impossible to find in the wild (or for the queue apparently). The effect is that they may have well been cancelled. Good morning everybody.
rdrmllr Good morning bro. Probably gonna be crickets today huh
enewt Maybe a straggler or two in the morning, but that is likely it for the regular series. EVGA_JacobF mentioned on their stream last week and via Twitter that there was a possibility that the first Kingpin invite to purchase emails may go out to that queue today. If EVGA is like many companies, they will have a "soft close" for the long weekend and close up all non-essential services by 3 pm or so.
sikonThis is the only info about possibly canceled SKUs I've found:https://twitter.com/mikel...us/1328310858892648448Jacob said it's not discontinued and I believe him. HOWEVER, it's impossible to "discontinue" a product they've never made... So I can't tell if this is just the regular corporate PR wordsmithing designed to avoid controversy or if this is a commitment to actually sell this SKU. Though after 2 months of no production that distinction is essentially moot.
rdrmllrM822GunsSaw it a few pages back, but I really wished they would have consolidated the queues if they knew they weren't going to be producing specific SKUs. We know that they have this all planned out, and its not like they aren't getting stock for specific cards. They are specifically making ULTRA cards, because profit. I have no issues with a company making money, just that they advertised multiple SKUs with no real intention to fill them. As a logical shopper, I selected the notify for the specific card that I was interested in, based on the information given to the community that stock is limited to you need to be prepared. I thought if I would have got notifications for multiple SKUs, that could have been confusing and potentially slow down checkout. Hindsight 20/20 that was WAY wrong. Just wish they could have at least asked if we wanted to move to a queue that they were going to fill, and slid us in at a spot that was reasonable. I also tweeted Jacob a couple days back asking if they are planning on filling any Gaming line cards any time soon and didnt get a response. Last time he responded to me and said "some were filled"I get you're unhappy with how the queues have been moving, everyone is. But I truly don't think it was their master plan to have various cards and have people sign up to buy them and then never sell them. I just doesn't work like that. Why would a company spends tens of thousands of dollars to create and design a product and put into production to never sell it or to only sell a few of it?? Obviously they want to sell a bunch of them I think a lot of people are putting EVGA at fault specifically when I am sure a lot of it is our of their control. Sure, it doesn't help they keep adding SKUs but its a business and they have to have multiple offerings to stay competitive Hindsight is 20/20, you should've signed up for all of the queues for the 3080 (or 3070/3090) so you'd have an option when your number was called For now, you shouldn't just rely only on the EVGA queue. If you really want a 30 series card and you need it soon (like for Cyberpunk) you need to start using online resources like NowInStock, or a discord or something to try and get in there. In the last 2-3 weeks there have been several opportunities to get cards from Best Buy, Walmart, etc at MSRP. If you don't need the card in a hurry, then eventually your number will be called

Raif1989So as a newbie to this whole thing, if I created an account now, used the auto-notify for the 3080 ftw ultra, i'm pretty much done until i get a followup from EVGA saying "Hey, time to buy the card" right? I see the notify thing in the user panel for the card and got the email from evga saying i was registered for the auto notify. If that's the case, then hope I get some news soon.

All of the queues have moved SOMEWHAT even if almost no movement, but that would indicate they have actually made cards for all of the available SKUs??
sikon I have added myself to the 3080 FTW Ultra list earlier this month, but frankly, joining the end of that queue now is pointless as I doubt my number will be called before the 4th of July, at best.
enewtThe last significant drop of the 3080 FTW3 Ultra moved the queue timeline a little over 2 hours. The card is through its launch day congestion of mass registrations. It will slow down again around 10/5 - 10/6 when the queue process was announced, but otherwise it should be moving pretty quickly (assuming similar volumes and cadences of past drops). In short, you should get your "invite to purchase" email for that card months before July 4. I would think Feb 14 would be a good target date -- take with buckets of salt though...lots of rank speculation on that prediction. Best of luck!

Raif1989Is that spreadsheet for the waiting list kept up to date? I filled out that form in it
Urobulus There is no indication or confirmation unfortunately if the congestion is even over for the 17th for the FTW3 Ultra. It could go on again same thing for the 18th too, the 19th, etc. Reality is (unfortunately) we do not know when it will get better. All we can do is wish for the best, and people need to keep their hopes and dreams in check because so far it's mostly disappointment and delays after disappointment and delays since the beginning with no real end in sight...
zdartSo cool :)
mdcurryI spend my time making a hell of a lot more money than if I spent it looking for a card. I bought a MSI 3090 TRIO to hold me over. I paid a little extra but I can scalp it back when I get my EVGA, or lose a few bucks, but I have the card to use. I am also pushing my 2080 tis hard in my other racing systems. I have 3 rigs for me and friends and three systems for standing VR, so I need a lot of cards.
Hauler24 Just placed my order for EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 XC3 ULTRA GAMING, 08G-P5-3755-KR, 8GB GDDR6, iCX3 Cooling, ARGB LED, Metal Backplate 08G-P5-3755-KR 10/29/2020 6:13:29 AM PT Thank you and you can take me off the list for that. Now I am just purely waiting for availability on the 3090's. Appreciate all the help.
