For those getting dismayed about the Shuffle emails of discouragement, it can and does happen!
Just got the alert for the 3090 with x570 Aorus Master combo (entered on behalf of my brother), and he will be the owner of both by next friday.

Gratz! That was one of the expensive combos, right?  My guess is that if you want to spend a couple thousand, your competition is smaller.  If you want the inexpensive bundles, you compete with the million other people who pick that one.

For the contents of it, it was "reasonably" priced I suppose. Came in a little under 3 grand total.

He's now in the process of ordering a new PSU, some thermal paste, and a GPU support stand.
We'll be doing a parts swap/build next weekend together.

Yikes!

Is this program dead? Based on the spreadsheet, nobody has been notified since November. I have been registered since November without an opportunity to buy. Seems like a great idea made useless because they never actually sell anything this way.

It is a great idea, but it would be better done by an outlet that gets stock to sell.

It's not that people haven't been notified since November - people were notified just this week with invites to purchase. The issue is that the people who ARE receiving those invites signed up for the queue at the tail end of last year (unless you're talking about one of the newer cards).

Indeed. It is literally impossible for me to buy a card in my city. Second largest in the state, but no retailers that sell physical stock. Seems Best Buy never has inventory near me, so I can never buy from them. Nvidia does not sell directly. And, if I want to buy an Radeon card, the AMD site bans my IP every time I am in the middle of checking out. It is very disheartening that some of us literally have no option to buy, while some on other parts of the country just keep buying more and more to try and resell at exaggerated prices.

It would be nice if EVGA would tell us something about how the program is progressing. I understand that they do not want calls about the program to flood the support lines, however, a little communication would be much appreciated. For example, when was the last time they fulfilled a specific model and what registration date those buyers came from.

As I stated, I have been registered since November of last year. I meet your description of "tail end" of the year. 5.5 months later I feel no closer to being able to buy a card than I did in November.

Well, it probably isn't good news.

I am wondering what is going to happen with the people on the 30xx lists when they stop making them.  I can imagine that thousands of people will still be on those lists.  I guess they just try to get near the top of the 40xx lists and start over.

By this logic, why not a transfer to the 3080ti que when it goes live?

Why? It's not eVGA's fault NVidia bungled their launch with insufficient launch day supply then unprecedented demand resulted in the situation we're now in when combined with other factors.
Yet another reminder: eVGA didn't have to make the queue system, at all, they could've left the online store as a first come first serve with no notify queue, and they could've also just said forget about it and only shipped cards to e-tailers & retailers, and handled the step up queue only - they chose to setup this system to at least make an attempt at getting people that actually want to use the cards their cards.

Transferring queue makes no actual sense if you really think about it, especially for any card that came out after the queue system was launched - at that point is a "if you didn't know to get on the list early, that's very much your problem" and not eVGA's problem, anyone that doesn't agree with that is not being very fair in reality.
You can make the whole "some of us have lives" argument, but if taking 2 minutes out of your morning to make sure you get in queue early is too much for you, you shouldn't be trying to get a GPU in the current environment period.

And yes, I'm sure that'll be "shots fired" for some people because I have a card & they don't, but all of that is just the way things are.

Literally the only way to truly fix this would be a system that makes sure any GPU die that leaves NVidia's factory is tracked all the way in to a person's hands that is actually going to use it, and that would take too much time and money, especially where AIBs are concerned where some of them are just trying to survive in this supply shortage that started with Dies, went through VRAM chips & controller chips, and is now all over the place again.

What would be nice is if they put more effort in to making sure that the same person doesn't get multiple of the exact same GPU via different addresses etc, but doing that would take money & people doing it as well, yet another expense they don't want to partake in.

Again, this all circles back to we should be glad the queue system even exists at the end of the day - no one else is doing it in terms of AIBs - Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, etc all don't really seem to care who is buying their cards as long as they sell quickly, and a lot of them have risen their MSRPs a lot more then eVGA has to date.

This supply and demand issue is now forecast to last through 2022, so it's not going to get any better - in fact it will probably keep getting worse if NVidia actually releases the 3080 Ti, because that will further splice the amount of Dies available of the GA102 variety meaning even less 3080s will be made because they'll be putting them in to 3080 Ti's & 3090s, which are higher profit margin SKUs.  The higher base price on a SKU, the more they'll be marked up by Scalpers, and the more profit will be made, which means scalping will continue.  The market will never get saturated as long as Nvidia continues to force more GPU types with the same Dies down our throat, and AIBs continue to splice them even further in to different SKUs of the same card.
eVGA is guilty of that as well, the 3080 non Ultras have barely moved if at all since release date in the queue - they basically do not exist as far as we're concerned.  Hopefully ALL of the AIBs including eVGA will learn from the 30-series launch, and keep the # of different SKUs/types of the same card to a minimum.  We really only need a base model and FTW3 model, then Hybrids of each and HCs of each.  We do not need NINE 3080 SKUs & 10 3090 SKUs.  Literally 1 XC3, 1 FTW3, then Hybrids and/or HydroCoppers of each, is enough.  I really hope that aspect they actually follow in the 30-series refresh & the 40-series launch when it comes next year.

Yikes that was a bit of a rant.

So how does this work ?

Read the first post on the first page.

Otherwise "this" works like so:
You arrive hopeful, thinking "i can do do this, it can't be that bad".You fail repeatedly to the point where seeing an "add to cart" button sends a rushing wave of dopamine coursing through your entire body. Failures adding up you get upset and go through all 12 stages of grief over and over. You read up and realize the magnitude of the situation. More Failures accumulate and you begin to realize people that showed up here months before you have also realized that they too, were also months too late.

bloodshot eyes, ptsd and lack of proper sleep from all the stock alerts waking you at all hours of the night for a card you missed by half a second.

The gpu is that safe door in your nightmare that no matter how fast you run towards the door, you can't get any closer.

When you finally get a gpu you forget why you wanted it. You struggle to be excited. The gpu isn't for games, the game is the gpu.

So yeah, welcome! That's how this works.

There are two different queues. One for EU and one for North America. Make sure you are looking at the correct one. Also, if you are looking at the Google spreadsheet, there could be errors on it. It is not the official EVGA list. My Notifies is.

nvidia announced it would not release the 4XXX series at the end of the 22nd year.
Therefore, the life of the 3XXX series has been further extended.
I want kingpin
However, I doubt that it is being processed as ordered on the reservation sheet.
If time passes like this, it may be possible to purchase it later this year.

Precisely.  While it might mean each SKU appear to move more slowly, People will actually get cards and not get stuck in a dead queue.

Thanks for the link to a more official list. It lacks information about when each SKU has been fulfilled last, but at least we can see how far away our notify timestamp is from the last date used. I'm registered for all 3070 SKUs. They are all about a month away from the last fulfilled timestamp. In six months, I have no idea how much those timestamps have moved. I could potentially still be six months away from my timestamp being notified.

Thats the idea. This is a very good scenario for the companies why would they even want to change it? In fact I would not be surprised if this becomes the norm.
Its consumers greed that is driving up the demand (also obscene profits), this is not an essential product that every one needs.  Let the consumers stop buying it then things will change.

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2021/05/02 07:48:57 (permalink)
According to the emails, I entered the auto-notify queue for

- RTX 3060 Ti XC GAMING 08G-P5-3663-KR on 2021-02-21 19:56 +01:00,
- RTX 3080 XC3 BLACK GAMING 10G-P5-3881-KR on 2021-02-21 19:58 +01:00, and
- RTX 3060 XC GAMING 12G-P5-3657-KR on 2021-02-26 06:58 +01:00.

Today, I created an account with the same email address to check and it's empty. I don't think I ever got notified, also checked spam folder often. Any chance to get into the queue positions "where I belong", or do I have to start from scratch?
