Hello,
I've just built a computer with the following specs:
Mobo: MSI Z370-A Pro
GPU: 1050 TI

The problem appears to be that I have a 50/50 chance of getting a display from the GPU to the monitor. When it doesn't work I restart the computer.
The GPU is definitely seated properly, and the 400W power supply was calculated to be more than enough for the system.

Let me know any of any other information that may be useful. Thanks for reading.

Hello benrussell! Have you double-checked in your motherboard BIOS that the primary display is set to PCIe graphics and that the integrated graphics are disabled? You might also want to try with a different monitor cable as a bad one could cause the same issue.

Windows 10 black screen problems fixed

June Patch Tuesday - released quality improvements and fixes for Windows 10 version 1803 or the Windows 10 April 2018 Update.

    (excerpt)

The KB4284835 update moves Windows 10 version 1803 to OS Build 17134.112 and addresses an issue that caused systems to start up in a black screen: "This issue occurs because previous updates to the Spring Creators Update were incompatible with specific versions of PC tune-up utilities after installation."

This issue is separate to the black screen problems Avast users were struggling with last month after installing Windows 10 version 1803.

Among the other bug fixes, Microsoft has fixed an issue where firmware updates cause devices to go into BitLocker recovery mode when it's enabled, but Secure Boot is disabled or not present. This build now prevents firmware installation when a device is in this state.

Can you reproduce the issue on all the video card outputs?

Sorry guys, the card is no longer having trouble outputting signal, so I cannot reproduce the issue!
For Google's sake, I think it most likely had to do with the BIOS settings.

    Thanks for your time.
