Nepal on Thursday banned the popular online game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), saying its violent content had a negative impact on children, an official said. “We have ordered the ban on PUBG because it is addictive to children and teenagers,” Sandip Adhikari, deputy director at Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA), the nation’s telecoms regulator, told Reuters. Following a request from the Himalayan nation’s federal investigation authority, the regulator directed all internet service providers, mobile operators and network service providers to block streaming of the game from Thursday onwards, Adhikari said.

    its not the violence the problem ,its that kids want to play those kind of games 24h

    Other causes of violence in history. Books, music, movies, television...

    I bet the person who decided this used to have cap gun fights with friends. Of course using a mouse and keyboard is way more violent then taking what looks like a gun aiming at another kid and pulling the trigger for the bang of the cap gun.

    The game is bad for children at certain age due to the maturity of the children playing it.  How violent is PUBG compare to other games before its released and existence? We had Mortal Kombat, COD, Battlefield, etc. and i dont see countries banning them? so what is the difference here?
     

    Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

    Actually they meant to ban it just because it sucks so bad.....driving people to violence because the Dev has taken the money & ran , refusing to use it to fix most of the most basic issues still plaguing the game.
