Hello guys, i am in need of some help, i recently bought the gtx 1050ti the one without the power connector and its not working at all when i install it, when i start my computer up with it in the pci e slot and my hdmi in the video card it is just a black screen and fans on video card don't even work, but the rest of my pc works fine, i have tried using ddu to delete my old drivers from my previous video card which was a r7 260x that used the power connectors and works fine.I am not sure what else to do i spent hours trying to fix this problem, i even plugged my hdmi into my motherboard and loaded up windows with the on board video  and tried to update that way but the computer isn't even seeing the card, the only thing i can think of is the video card or maybe my motherboard doesn't support the video card, any help would be appreciated thanks.
Computer specs are:
motherboard=asus m5a78L-m/usb3
cpu=fx6300
psu=500w

    1050ti should work just fine with that motherboard. I'd recommend testing the card in another pc to make sure the card isn't faulty.

    Do you have another monitor or cable other than HDMI. I just had an Issue with my 1080 Ti's and the HDMI port. It took me some tom foolery to get it to work. If you don't have another means of connection try an older version of the Nvidia drivers. I would go back two versions the last two were kinda funky with HDMI. Also try clearing cmos set to optimized in bios then make sure you disable your on board video in device manager. Then turn off the PC and install the card and older driver. I had to use DDU to reboot to safe mode then uninstall drivers to get it to work. If you get it to work then you will probably be able to update the driver then. If you don't have your onboard video disabled it might not recognize the card.

    A couple of things to check:

    1. Motherboard BIOS update:  If you are running an old BIOS, it may not boot with the modern video card.  If this is the case, your motherboard MFG will have a BIOS update for you.

    2. Power Supply Connection to Motherboard: Check to see if you have all of the power supply connectors running into your motherboard.  There is usually the "big long one" and sometimes a 4-pin or 8-pin supplemental one.

    ok, i pretty much tried all the above, i can't update the driver when i use my motherboard graphics card, all the down loader says is that it can't find the hardware, but i am gonna try to take a look around on my mother board to see if there is a power cord i am missing because i only have the big power cord plugged in to the motherboard i don't see the 6 pin, but if u mean the 6 pin for the graphics card it doesn't need one it uses the pcie slot for power.
