I was wondering if a GT 710 would be a good choice for a PhysX card or if I should get a slightly higher end one I have a GT 610 also but it originally didn't work as a PhysX card for whatever reason although on Wikipedia the 610 has enough cuda cores to work as a PhysX card was it recently updated to work as one or is it still a no go? That aside my main GPU and other specs are, EVGA GTX 1060, i7 7700k and CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB 3000MHz. I get a bit of fps loss on games like Mass Effect Andromeda @ 1600x900 & ultra settings but does this even use hardware PhysX? I couldn't find it on any PhysX games lists and I do plan on getting some games that do utilize hardware PhysX. Any help would be great. Thank you!

Neither one will be a good physx card. Mass effect doesn't support physx.

I had a BFG card and was so ready for this tech, but Nvidia snacked it up and they dont let AMD use it so I wouldn't even bother with it.
And its too bad because it could be awesome.

the link above is from Linus Tech Tips. They do an awesome job in the video about whats cards to use and not to use and what games will benefit from it.
Its a must watch for you.

In my book you're best off running it on the primary card.

I play and stream PUBG. My primary GPU is a GTX 1070 FTW Hybrid. Since PUBG is built on the Unreal Engine 4 it benefits from a dedicated Physx card. At first I used an EVGA 1050 ti 4Gb single fan card, but since it wouldn't let me use it to stream at 1440p from OBS to twitch, I upgraded to an EVGA 1060 SC 3Gb card. I didn't take hard benchmarks, but while using the 1060 3Gb for Physx and for streaming 1440p60 to Twitch @ 9k bitrate, I've noticed a significant boost in my minimum frame-rates and average frame-rates. The 1050 ti provided an increase too, but it was no where near the 1060 3Gb.  I'm considering using the step-up program to trade in the 1060 for a 1080 ti, and using the 1070 for Physx and streaming, but I suspect that the 1070 as a Physx card won't provide any significant advantages over a 1060 for this specific purpose.

Linus Tech Tips did a video to explain why using an older card as you suggested might actually lower your performance rather than increase it. I don't have enough posts to link to the video, so search on youtube for the title, "PhysX Cards - 10 years later do they still suck??"

TL;DR for a dedicated Physx card get a 1060 3Gb everything else is a waste or worse.
